  • Publication number: 20050225948
Abstract: In a burn-in test configuration wherein a chip board having a plurality of semiconductor chips engages a heat sink board having a plurality of heat sinks. When the boards are operationally engaged, the each semiconductor chip has a heat sink has heat sink spring-loaded against the semiconductor chips. Posts coupled to one board engage posts located on the second board. The engagement of the posts orients and secures the relative positions of the two boards. A clip is provided that secures the relative position of the two boards when the two sets of posts are engaged. To uncouple the two boards, a pressure on the side of the clip permits the two boards to separate.

  • Publication number: 20050146343
Abstract: An apparatus for transferring heat during a burn-in procedure comprises a substantially planar base member that includes a plurality of openings extending through the base member, at least one heat sink aligned with each opening, and biasing members connected to the heat sinks for biasing the heat sinks.

  • Patent number: 5950741
Abstract: A sampling head for a vehicle mounted mechanized soil sample collecting unit includes an auger mounted at one end of a drive shaft supported on a positioning arm on the vehicle. The drive shaft is connected to an auger head which is driven into the soil. A linear power source, such as a hydraulic cylinder is used to provide vertical force to drive the auger head into the soil. A separate rotational power source is used to rotate the drive shaft and auger head. The soil from the drilling process is collected in a receptacle and can be transferred into a separate container for soil analysis.

  • Patent number: 5749593
Abstract: A lift mechanism for use with a tractor and a convertor dolly. The lift mechanism includes an elongated arm having a first end and a second end; tractor attachment structure for pivotally attaching the first end of the arm to a tractor; convertor dolly attachment structure for attaching the second end of the arm to a convertor dolly; and actuating structure for raising the second end of the arm.

  • Patent number: 5394949
Abstract: A vehicle mounted mechanized soil sample collecting unit including a sampler arm pivotably affixed to a base mounted upon the vehicle. At its remote end the sampler arm pivotably carries a soil auger and soil accumulator container. An actuator is coupled to the sampler arm for swinging the arm between a lowered, soil-collecting position and a retracted container discharge position. A power unit rotates the soil auger, which is adapted to advance through the bottom of the container and into the earth as the container engages the surface of the earth upon lowering of the sampler arm. As the auger rotates the soil sample is drawn upwardly into the accumulator container by the auger flights. With the sampler arm in the retracted position the accumulator container is positioned over a funnel device into which collected soil is deposited through a bottom trap door of the accumulator container for reception in a sample container beneath the funnel outlet.
