  • Publication number: 20220161622
Abstract: An electromechanical vehicle height adjustment unit comprises a control arm, a lower spring pad operative to support a lower end of a vehicle spring, and a displacement mechanism supported on the control arm. At least a portion of the displacement mechanism is integrated into the control arm. The displacement mechanism is coupled to the lower spring pad and is operative to displace the lower spring pad relative to the control arm. The displacement mechanism comprises a rotary-to-linear motion conversion mechanism and an electric motor.

  • Patent number: 9358962
Abstract: A method for stopping a motor vehicle, having an electronic environmental control device for evaluating the data of one or more environmental sensors, and an electronic braking control device for actuating a braking system, these exchanging information and/or instructions via a data bus. The method comprises: acquiring a distance to a vehicle travelling ahead; determining the motor vehicle travel speed; controlling the distance to the obstacle using the environmental control device if the travel speed exceeds a transfer threshold value; and stopping the motor vehicle using the braking control device if the travel speed is less than or equal to said transfer threshold value. Depending on the acquired distance, the environmental control device determines a target path for the braking control device at the end of which the motor vehicle should be stationary. The invention also relates to an electronic control device for a braking system, and a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8155821
Abstract: A vacuum brake booster and a method of operation of a vacuum brake booster of a vehicle brake system is disclosed. The vacuum brake booster includes a housing subdivided into at least one vacuum chamber and at least one working chamber. The vacuum chamber is connected to a vacuum source by way of a vacuum port. A sensor unit is associated with the vacuum chamber and is configured for sensing a pressure in the vacuum chamber and supplying a sensed pressure value to an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU includes an evaluating unit for evaluating the sensed pressure value and calculating the operating point of the vacuum brake booster solely on the basis of the sensed pressure in the vacuum chamber. Plausibilization of the sensed pressure value is performed to monitor the overall system and identify defects of the sensor unit or the vacuum brake booster.
