The first recess is configured to receive a shaft of a first fastener extending between a kingpin cap of the work vehicle axle assembly and a spindle, the first recess has a fastener-receiving portion and an inlet portion extending from the fastener-receiving portion of the first recess, a diameter of the fastener-receiving portion of the first recess is configured to be substantially equal to a diameter of the shaft of the first fastener, and a width of the inlet portion of the first recess is configured to be less than the diameter of the shaft of the first fastener.
