  • Publication number: 20240216056
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a segmented spine comprising a first electrode, a first spine strut, and a second spine strut. The first spine strut comprises a first attachment point configured to couple with the first electrode. The second spine strut comprises a second attachment point configured to couple with the first electrode. The first spine strut and second spine strut can comprise of additional attachment points configured to engage with a distal retention hub or a tubular shaft. The attachment points can be configured to permit the plurality of spine struts to rotate around the respective attachment points.

  • Publication number: 20240216045
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein generally include a catheter with a basket assembly at a distal tip having an atraumatic structure on a distal portion of the basket assembly and a distal sensor coupled to the atraumatic structure. The basket assembly includes spines that collapse for delivery through a delivery sheath catheter and self-expand upon exiting a distal end of the delivery sheath catheter. The basket assembly can further include a proximal sensor coupled to a shaft of the catheter, and position signals from the shaft sensor and the distal sensor can be used to determine position of electrodes of the basket assembly when the basket assembly is pressed to tissue or another surface.

  • Publication number: 20240216049
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes an end effector in a medical catheter including a woven mesh extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal portion to a distal portion, the woven mesh defining a generally spheroidal shape having a plurality of electrodes disposed about the longitudinal axis and adjacent to an equator of the generally spheroidal shape with the proximal portion configured to be attached to a shaft and with the distal portion configured to be invaginated and coupled to an actuator extending along the longitudinal axis.

  • Publication number: 20240180615
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes electrode for a medical probe, including an electrode body configured to deliver electrical energy to biological tissues, and one or more legs attached to the electrode body and configured to bend at least partially around or into a spine of a basket catheter so as to be attached thereto. The one or more legs can extend from an edge of the electrode body and can be configured to be bent such that the electrode is crimped to the spine.

  • Publication number: 20240180614
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a spine member for an end effector, the spine member extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end. The spine member includes a unidirectional proximal stop member to allow an electrode to slide in a direction distally but not proximally and a distal stop member to prevent an electrode from sliding past.
