  • Patent number: 11520294
Abstract: There are provided a component for a timepiece, a movement, and a timepiece having excellent lubricating oil holding performance. There is provided a component for a timepiece including a sliding surface having a surface tension of 10 to 35 mN/m. It is preferable that when lubricating oil having a surface tension of 25 to 35 mN/m is applied to the sliding surface, an interfacial tension between the sliding surface and the lubricating oil is 0 to 7 mN/m.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 5, 2019
Date of Patent: December 6, 2022
    Assignee: Seiko Instruments Inc.
    Inventors: Takahiko Nakamura, Natsuki Ebihara
  • Patent number: 11327441
Abstract: A mechanical component, a mechanism module, a movement, and a timepiece superior in lubricating oil retaining performance are to be provided. A mechanical component includes: a first component having a first surface region; a second component having a second surface region on which the first surface region can slide; and an oil retaining film formed on at least one of the first surface region and the second surface region and more lipophilic than the region.
