  • Patent number: 7988435
Abstract: An oilless screw compressor incorporating water-cooled cooling units for cooling compressed air discharged from compressor bodies having a pair of male and female screw rotors which can be rotated in a contactless and oilless manner, the cooling units comprising a plate type heat-exchanger, and the amount of cooling water for the plate type heat-exchanger being adjustable. With this configuration, a difference between a temperature during load operation and a temperature upon automatic stopping and during unload operation of the compressor can be reduced, so that the cooling unit can be restrained from being damaged or broken within a short period, thereby it is possible to provide a highly reliable oilless screw compressor.

  • Publication number: 20110129362
Abstract: Disclosed is a water-injection type scroll air compressor whose pre-stopping operation time for drying can be reduced while enhancing compressor efficiency. The compressor body 1 includes a water supply line 24 for supplying water to a water feeder 23 connected to an air suction line 2. The water supply line 24 is provided with a control valve 27 that can control a flow rate of the water. A controller 28 conducts driving control of the control valve 27 in a 5×10?5 to 40×10?5 range of an injected-water volume ratio (more specifically, a volume ratio between an intake air flow rate and injected-water flow rate in the water feeder 23 of the suction line 2) and at the same time, in an injected-water volume ratio range of the compressor characterized so that an increase rate of overall adiabatic efficiency of the compressor per 1×10?5 increase rate of the injected-water volume ratio stays less than 2% of an original or initial value.

  • Patent number: 6450791
Abstract: In a double toothed type scroll compressor, spiral wraps are formed on both sides of an end plate of an orbiting scroll, and wraps adapted to engage with the spiral wraps are formed on a stationary scroll. A dust wrap is formed on a side diametrically outside of the wrap of the stationary scroll. Grooves are formed on ends of the respective wraps to receive therein seal members formed of a high polymer material. Electric charge of static electricity produced when the seal members slide on surfaces of the mating end plate is made to flow from a bolt provided on an end of a crankshaft to the stationary scroll through a brush, thereby preventing accumulation of electric charge in a crankshaft.

  • Patent number: 6283738
Abstract: It is an improvement of a package-type compressor that is used for the air compression, refrigerating and air conditioning The compressor is a double scroll compressor that a laps are formed on both sides of an end plate of orbiting scroll. A scroll compressor element is disposed above a motor and a dryer is disposed further above the scroll compressor element. A cooling fan is installed in the motor. A cooler that cools operation gas through the compressor element is disposed above the cooling fan. A partition plate defines a first flow passage for cooling the motor and the compressor element and a second flow passage for cooling the cooler. A first suction port sucking external air to the first and second flow passages is provided on a casing side wall locating in a direction extending from the motor shaft. A suction partitioning plate is attached to a casing sidewall opposite to the casing side wall having the first suction port. The second suction port is lower than the first suction port.

  • Patent number: 6210132
Abstract: A cooling fan is fitted to one of the shaft end portions of a double-end motor, and a pulley is fitted to the other end portion. A belt is passed around this pulley and a pulley fitted to a compressor element, and the compressor element is driven by this belt. The compressor element is disposed in such a manner as to be stacked up in an upward direction of the motor. An exhaust duct having a built-in cooler is also disposed in such a manner as to be stacked up above a cooling fan on the discharge side of the cooling fan. A main duct is formed on the suction side of the cooling fan and is interconnected in series with a cooling air outlet of the compressor element. These members described above are accommodated inside a casing. Therefore, two cooling air flow passages are defined on the right and left sides inside the casing.

  • Patent number: 6142755
Abstract: An oil-free scroll compressor used for compression of air or the like, comprises an orbiting scroll having a spiral-shaped lap or laps formed on one or both sides of an end plate, and a stationary scroll having a lap or laps adapted to mate with the orbiting scroll to define a compression chamber or chambers.Grooves are formed on tips of the respective scroll laps, and elastic tip seals are fitted into the grooves in order to prevent leakage of compressed gas from between the laps and the end plates. Those surfaces of the orbiting scroll and of the stationary scroll or scrolls, which define the compression chamber or chambers, are subjected to surface treatment in order to prevent seizure or the like caused by sliding of the tip seals and the laps. The stationary scroll or scrolls are subjected to an anodizing coating treatment while the orbiting scroll is subjected to Ni--P--B treatment.

  • Patent number: 6123529
Abstract: A double scroll compressor including an orbiting scroll having spiral wraps formed on both sides of an end plate includes two stationary scrolls, each having a wrap formed thereon to mesh with the corresponding one of the spirals to form a compressing flow passage. The power of a driver, such as a motor, is transmitted via pulleys to two crank shafts which are disposed to extend through the end plate of the orbiting scroll approximately symmetrically with respect to the end plate. The two crank shafts are synchronously rotationally driven by a timing belt disposed between the pulleys. While the crank shafts are making their rotary motions, the orbiting scroll makes its eccentric circular motion and a sucked gas is compressed between the orbiting scroll and the stationary scrolls. A multiplicity of cooling flow passages approximately perpendicular to a line which connects the axes of the crank shafts are formed to extend through the central portion of the end plate of the orbiting scroll.
