  • Patent number: 11795031
Abstract: Disclosed is an elevator system having an elevator, the elevator having an elevator landing and an elevator controller, the controller capable of communicating over a network with a device, and the device may be located within an area positionally associated with the landing, the controller: receives from the device, a request for elevator service at the landing, effects monitoring the device relative to the area, effects a first response upon determining that the device is inside the area, otherwise effects a second response.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11472663
Abstract: A system for providing an automatic software upgrade assistant for remote elevator monitoring experts using machine learning. The system performs operations that include receiving a request from a requestor to install a software upgrade on a controller of an elevator component, the software upgrade dependent on at least one software program being installed on the controller. It is determined whether the at least one software program is installed on the controller. Based at least in part on determining that the at least one software program is installed on the controller: an elapsed time to complete the installation of the software upgrade on the controller is predicted; and an indication is output to the requestor that the software upgrade is permitted to be installed on the controller and the predicted elapsed time to complete the installation.

  • Publication number: 20200207572
Abstract: Disclosed is an elevator system having a controller configured for: rendering a first determination that an elevator service call is placed at a first lobby, rendering a second determination that captured video data indicates a plurality of passengers including a first passenger is at the first lobby, and executing a first communication to instruct a first elevator car to effect elevator service at the first lobby based on the first determination and the second determination.

  • Publication number: 20200122958
Abstract: Disclosed is an elevator system for a building including an elevator and an elevator controller for communicating with a plurality of smart devices for passengers disposed on building levels, the controller rendering determinations including: a first determination that the controller receives from the smart devices requests for elevator service, a second determination to effect monitoring of smart devices relative to area limits on the levels, the area limits including the lobbies, a third determination to identify a first group of the smart devices that are within the area limits, a fourth determination to identify a first schedule that prioritizes elevator service within the first group based on a time of placement of elevator service requests, a fifth determination to instruct the elevator to provide elevator service following the first schedule, and wherein the controller effects a first communication in which the controller instructs the elevator to effect the fifth determination.

  • Publication number: 20200042307
Abstract: A processor-implemented method for pushing a revision to an automated passenger conveying subsystem is provided. The processor-implemented method receives the revision over a network to make the revision available to one or more subsystems. An application executed on a processor of the network, then, receives a selection input identifying the automated passenger conveying subsystem of the one or more subsystems. In turn, the application sends a message to the automated passenger conveying subsystem based on the selection input. The message identifies that the revision is available for downloading and deployment. An exchange operation is executed to push the revision to the automated passenger conveying subsystem.
