  • Publication number: 20140173295
Abstract: A computer implemented method and apparatus for securing transfer of secure content to a destination. The method comprises receiving a request to copy selected content from a secure source document; extracting one or more security settings associated with at least one of the selected content or the source document; encrypting the selected content with the one or more extracted security settings; and storing the encrypted content and the one or more extracted security settings.

  • Publication number: 20130326329
Abstract: A method and apparatus for collecting, merging and presenting content is disclosed. The method comprises collecting a plurality of selected content from a plurality of different content sources; storing the selected content in a temporary file; and merging the collected content into a cohesive document.

  • Patent number: 7933894
Abstract: Systems and methods that generate specialized plans for compiling SQL queries. A plan generator component scans the query representation for parameter sensitive predicates and evaluates each predicate individually based on the parameter values. Accordingly, queries can be identified not only based on their structures, but also based on their parameter conditions. The specialized plans are more efficient for particular values, wherein queries that employ such values are optimally executed.

  • Patent number: 7676525
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for optimization and efficient processing of MERGE statements. MERGE allows performing a mix of inserts, updates, and deletes in a single statement, and introduces new challenges compared to legacy DML statements, where the kind of action to be performed is hard-coded and known at compile time. Such optimizations may include Halloween Protection detection for MERGE statements, optimized prevention of non-deterministic MERGE statements, in-place inserts for MERGE statements scanning the “Read Instance” of the target table, and optimized execution of MERGE statements seeking the “Read Instance” of the target table. Such optimizations may be fundamental in order to ensure proper performance and reliable processing times.

  • Publication number: 20020123984
Abstract: A framework for the creation and execution of a dynamic query (or recommended content) that includes a web-based interface for a business manager or administrator to query data in applications running on a server system. Graphical user interface screens will allow a user to create leaf conditions (or expressions), and to logically join the leaf conditions into more complex conditions. The conditions are then collectively joined into a query. The query will be persisted into database tables by saving the Where Clause in XML. The query can be executed using a adapter-connector framework provided by a host platform (i.e., the referenced Asera platform). Thereafter, the results will be displayed to the end user.
