  • Publication number: 20240314057
Abstract: A network testing system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium configured to store instructions thereon; and a processor. The processor is configured to execute the instructions for retrieving a call graph; identifying decision branches within the call graph; and generating a valid request payload for each of the decision branches. The processor is configured to execute the instructions for generating an invalid request payload for each of the decision branches; instructing an orchestrator to test a device under test (DUT) using each of the valid request payload and the invalid request payload; comparing responses received from the DUT to each of the valid request payload and the invalid request payload with expected responses; and determining that the DUT includes a failure in response to a determination that any of the responses received from the DUT fail to match a corresponding expected response of the expected responses.

  • Publication number: 20240223487
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose an electronic device for performing functional testing of a NF device. A processor is configured to receive a specification corresponding to a service to be tested on a DUT and generate a proto file based on the specification, where the proto file comprises a plurality of messages and definitions associated with a plurality of RPCs for enabling communication with a test harness manager. The processor is further configured to generate a plurality of test scripts based on the generated proto file; invoking, by the electronic device, at least one RPC of the plurality of RPCs based on at least one test script to be executed on the DUT; and perform the functional testing based on the invoked at least one RPC for testing the at least one method of the service on the DUT, where the DUT is the NF device.

  • Publication number: 20240224087
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a method for generating test cases to test a network function (NF) device in a wireless network by an electronic device (100). The method includes receiving, by the electronic device (100), at least one test specification associated with the NF device (200) under test and determining, by the electronic device (100), an intermediate schema of the at least one test specification, where the intermediate schema comprises a message portion and a procedure portion. The method also includes generating, by the electronic device (100), test criteria for packets received by the NF device (200) under test based on the intermediate schema of the at least one test specification and automatically generating, by the electronic device (100), a plurality of test cases based on the test criteria for testing a protocol conformity of the NF device (200).

  • Publication number: 20240224062
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provides a system for orchestrating simulator application in a wireless network. The system is configured to display a simulator orchestration interface on a user device to orchestrating simulator application. The user interface includes simulator applications. Simulator applications are deployed on the node and a proto-file is retrieved. The proto-file includes service configuration parameters associated with the node using simulator specific communication channel. The deployed simulator application is configured based on the service configuration parameters mentioned in the retrieved proto-file from the node. The configured simulator application is automatically controlled for the service procedures using the specific communication channel.
