Patent number: 11814935Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for increasing accuracy of firing perforating charges in an oil well casing. In one implementation, a body of an orientation device has a first portion and a second portion. An opening extends through a center of the body from a first lateral surface to a second lateral surface, and the opening is configured to receive a perforating gun string. An outer perimeter surface extends about the center of the body from the first lateral surface to the second lateral surface. The outer perimeter surface has a first shape associated with the first portion and a second shape associated with the second portion. The second shape forms a base portion configured to maintain the perforating gun string in an orientation by preventing rotation of the perforating gun string. The orientation corresponds to a predetermined perforating charge direction of the perforating gun string.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2022Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: ConocoPhillips CompanyInventors: Jesse J. Constantine, Robert Hand, Neal Adams

Patent number: 9326873Abstract: A valve loading system is provided that uses a valve loader to transfer a valve or other medical device from a storage cartridge into a deployment catheter. The valve or other medical device can be implanted or positioned within a patient using the catheter after the valve or other medical device has been compressed and loaded into the catheter using the valve loader. The process then can be repeated by using the valve loading system to load or introduce another valve or other medical device into the catheter.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2011Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: SPIRATION, INC.Inventors: Martin Neal Adams, James Mark Kutsko, Desmond O'Connell

Patent number: 9230284Abstract: A method of data processing between a hub computer and a plurality of spoke computers is disclosed. The hub computer is arranged to communicate with each of the spoke computers. Furthermore, each spoke computer is remote from the hub computer and remote from each other. The method comprises: (a) receiving at the hub computer from a user a request for the spoke computer to run a data processing operation on accounting data of an organization hosting the spoke computer, the accounting data locally accessible by the spoke computer; (b) the hub computer communicating the request to the spoke computer; (c) in response to receiving the request, the spoke computer running the data processing operation on the accounting data; and (d) the spoke computer returning results of the data processing operation to the hub computer.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2013Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: DELOITTE LLPInventors: Andrew John Whitton, Anthony David Sayce, Christopher William Ninnes, William Edward Owen Cubitt-Smith, Neal Adam Kemp

Patent number: 6745187Abstract: A system is disclosed that allows remote, regulated entity users web based access to authorization data, such as permit data in an environmental regulatory permitting or management system. The user can enter, edit and submit permit and compliance data in the environmental permitting system controlled by a regulating agency in real-time via a web browser over the Internet. The system can also validate submitted information in real-time and allows the user to correct the data. Electronic certification with a unique signature is also performed. Fee payment can be made electronically in real-time through the permitting system with an electronic payments system with a corresponding credit being made to the relevant department general ledger account.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2003Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: American Management System, Inc.Inventors: Gary Brian Singer, Jeffrey Neal Adams, Clay Wyatt Goldwein
