  • Publication number: 20250011868
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and kits for evaluating Alzheimer's disease (AD) activity, including in patients undergoing treatment for AD or a candidate treatment for AD, as well as in animal and cell models. Specifically, the present disclosure provides biomarkers (sRNA predictors) that are binary predictors of disease activity, and are useful for detecting and/or evaluating AD disease stage, grade and progression, prognosis, and response to therapy or candidate therapy. The biomarkers are further useful in the context of drug discovery and clinical trials, to identify candidate pharmaceutical interventions (or other therapies) that are useful for the treatment of disease.

  • Publication number: 20230063506
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for constructing disease classifiers for evaluating subjects for one or more distinct biological conditions or one or more disease subtypes. The present invention involves identifying candidate small RNA (sRNA) sequences from sequence data of a discovery sample set. The presence or abundance of the candidate sRNA sequences (each taken individually) across the discovery sample set is predictive of a biological condition of interest (e.g., over other distinct biological conditions or non-disease controls), and these candidate sRNA sequences are further filtered or selected in accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure. Machine learning techniques are then applied to build and train disease classifiers, including multi-disease classifiers. The trained classifiers can be used to classify new samples, for example, to evaluate patients for disease.

  • Patent number: 7519359
Abstract: A method is provided for efficiently accessing information 418, 510 from an automated menu based system 314 using a wireless communications device 102 and deploying services by utilizing the PTT contact list. Having a formatted PTT contact which connects to a voice portal or directly to the desired content from the handset itself enables carriers as well as users the ability to subscribe to information services with minimal setup, user interaction, and in a personalized manner.

  • Publication number: 20080032728
Abstract: An embodiment relates generally to a method of communicating among multiple users. The method includes establishing a first push-to-talk over cellular (“POC”) connection between a first terminal device having a client port and a second terminal device. The first terminal device then receives a second POC connection attempt notification at the client port from a third terminal device. The method also includes selecting one of: (1) establishing a second POC connection with the third terminal device at the client port; or (2) putting the second terminal device on hold at the client port of the first terminal device.

  • Publication number: 20040203666
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for aggregating network resources among a plurality of mobile stations. The multiplexing network entity (104) includes a subscriber database (406) and a server (404) coupled to the subscriber database. The subscriber database (406) is capable of storing an identification, a access number, and a personal identification number (“PIN”) associated with a mobile station (106). The server (404) is capable of assigning the access number and the PIN to the mobile station (106) after detecting an initiation of provisioning proceedings (600). For the method, the initiation of the provisioning proceedings is detected (602). The access number and the PIN are then assigned to the mobile station (106). The multiplexing network entity (104) also includes a billing manager (500) that is capable comparing a first billing report (504) generated by a network operator and a second billing report (506) generated by a GE server.

  • Publication number: 20040174855
Abstract: There is provided a system and method for aggregating network resources among a plurality of mobile stations. A multiplexing network entity (104) of a communications network (100) assigns a token on a per-call basis. The multiplexing network entity (104) includes a token management database (410) capable of storing tokens available for use by the mobile stations (106) and a server (404) capable of assigning an available token from the token management database. A token is assigned (808, 910) from a pool of tokens for a call if the token is available. Subsequently, after a call is completed, the token is released (834, 936) back to the pool of tokens.
