    Abstract: A solenoid actuator for a fuel injector may include a force transfer element defining a longitudinal axis, an armature operatively coupled to the force transfer element, and a stator configured to selectively move the armature substantially along the axis. The solenoid actuator may also include a fastening assembly to operatively connect the armature and the force transfer element, the fastening assembly being configured to allow the armature to pivot in at least one dimension relative to the axis.
