  • Patent number: 11066124
Abstract: A device for sensing a bicycle pedaling torque input includes: a housing; a bearing defining a rotational axis; a bearing support member that positions the bearing with respect to the housing, the bearing support member including one or more beams; an output member configured to be coupled to a chain ring, the output member being coupled to an inner race of the bearing to enable the output member to rotate with respect to the housing about the rotational axis; a spindle configured to be coupled to a bicycle pedal crank, the spindle functionally coupled to the output member to enable a rider pedaling force applied to the spindle to cause rotation of the output member; and one or more strain gauges, each of the one or more strain gauges being coupled a beam of the bearing support member.

  • Patent number: 8785028
Abstract: A high conductivity battery contact that comprises: a printed circuit board, a compressive spring, a tab containing thin, flat and highly electrically conductive metal. Said tab has three sections: a mounting section connected to said printed circuit board, a flexible intermediate section and a contact section with an outward facing surface roughly parallel with said circuit board. These parts form a layered assembly with said compressive spring positioned between the tab contact section and the printed circuit board. When a cylindrical battery cell is placed into position, the tab contact section is pressed into contact against an end of said cylindrical battery cell by said compressive spring.

  • Patent number: 8684387
Abstract: A steering system for a cycle that facilitates the placement of a horizontal cargo platform above and in close proximity to the front wheel. The steering system may be applied to numerous types of cycles including bicycles, electric bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, three wheeled vehicles, etc. The steering system comprises a fork assembly that is rotatably mounted to the frame near the top of said fork. The fork is supported in its lower portion by pushrods that both steer and structurally support the fork assembly.

  • Patent number: 7100930
Abstract: A bicycle rear suspension of the type where the crank set is mounted on the swingarm. The swingarm is connected to the main frame by a set of pivoting links that downwardly converge. The links produce an instant center of rotation for the swingarm that moves in a rearward path. The rearward path starts from horizontally forward of the crank center and moves to be approximately horizontally in line with the crank center. This reduces the vertical movement of the cranks as the suspension is compressed.

  • Publication number: 20040006820
Abstract: A portable cot that consists of a tubular framework that supports a cloth bed. The framework and bed are suspended from above by hanging webbing that allows suspension from a single point. The tubular members of the framework are connected together by hinges that allow the framework to folded into a small bundle of tubes.
