Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and computer-implemented method for providing recommendations based on social network sharing activity. Sharing activity relating to the sharing of the content item on a social network by a first user is accessed. Consumption information related to the consumption of the content item. A correlation between the sharing activity and the consumption information is determined. A recommendation is then generated based on the correlation.

Abstract: Techniques for mapping size information associated with a client to target brands, garments, sizes, shapes, and styles for which there is no standardized correlation. The size information associated with a client may be generated by modeling client garments, accessing computer aided drawing (CAD) files associated with client garments, or by analyzing a history of garment purchases associated with the client. Information for target garments may be generated in a similar fashion. A system may then create a standardized scale with a set of sizes for a target, and map a client base size to that standardized size scale. Similar matching and mapping may also be done with shape and style considerations. A recommendation based on the mapping may then be communicated to the client.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system and method is illustrated including receiving a feedback request identifying a particular user, retrieving a feedback entry in response to the feedback request, the feedback entry containing a first term, building a scoring model based, in part, upon a term frequency count denoting a frequency with which the first term appears in a searchable data structure, mapping the first term to a graphical illustration based upon a second term associated with the graphical illustration such that the graphical illustration may be used to represent the second term, and generating a feedback page containing the first term and the graphical illustration. The method may include assigning a value to the first term so as to identify the first term, assigning the first term to the searchable data structure, and extracting the first term from the searchable data structure based, in part, upon an extraction rule.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for social shopping on a network-based marketplace. The system receives a selection, over a network, at a social shopping platform. The selection identifies a request from a user in a first community of users and is associated with a listing describing an item for sale. The social shopping platform includes multiple network-based marketplaces respectively associated with communities. The communities include the first community of users being associated with a first network-based marketplace. The system identifies the first network-based marketplace based on the request. The first network-based marketplace is used by the first community of users for transacting items of a single domain. Finally, the system updates a user reputation score based on the activity associated with the first network-based marketplace and presents second user interface information, over the network, including the listing.

Abstract: Techniques for generating a digital wardrobe are presented herein. A transceiver can be configured to receive a request having a garment identifier and a user identifier. Additionally, an access module can be configured to access a first garment model, access a body model of the user corresponding to the user identifier, and access a second garment model corresponding to the user identifier. Furthermore, a processor can be configured by a garment simulation module to position the body model inside the first garment model and the second garment model, and calculate simulated forces based on the positioning. Moreover, a rendering module can be configured to generate an image of the garment models draped on the body model based on the calculated simulated forces. Subsequently, a display module can be configured to cause presentation of the generated image on a display of a device.

Abstract: Embodiments of a method and system for interest based communities are disclosed. A community is accessed within a networked system. The community includes community content and a group of users of the networked system with a similar interest. The community content is related to the similar interest and available for viewing by the group of users. The community content is maintained for access within the networked system. Abstract: Systems and methods to fit an image of an inventory part are described. In one aspect, a method includes receiving images of items over a computer network from a server, capturing a live video image of an object using a camera, playing the live video of the object on an electronic display, and continually refitting an image of a first item from the received images of items to the object as the object changes perspective in the video by applying an affine transformation to the image of the first item.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system is disclosed in which a network-based interaction environment includes a plurality of peer-to-peer nodes being able to communicate directly with each other using a peer-to-peer protocol and a peer-to-peer client application, and a first peer-to-peer client application to maintain persistent item information on at least one peer-to-peer node of the plurality of peer-to-peer nodes, the persistent information describing to an item. The first peer-to-peer client application further to maintain persistent user account information in the storage device of the first peer-to-peer node that includes a plurality of peer-to-peer accounts associated with a user account of the first peer-to-peer node. Each peer-to-peer account is assigned to a different role from among a plurality of roles that correspond to a different particular operation in a transaction for the item.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to adjust item recommendations are disclosed herein. A first image attribute of a query image is compared to a second image attribute of each of a plurality of inventory images of a plurality of inventory items to identify the inventory items similar to the query image. Item recommendations comprising the identified inventory items in a first listing order are provided for display at a remote device. A second listing order of the identified inventory items is determined based on a user preference for a particular one of the identified inventory items. At least the second listing order is provided to the remote device for re-display of the item recommendations in accordance with the second listing order.

The system receives, over a network, a selection that identities a part type and further receives, over the network, an image of a vehicle. The system antomatically identifies an image of a first inventory part based on the selection of the part type and the image of the vehicle. The system automatically positions two boundaries of a rectangle over the image of the vehicle based on the part type, the rectangle including an image of a first vehicle part. The system fits the image of the first inventory part over the image of the first vehicle part based on the rectangle. The system communicates, over the network, a user interface including the image of the vehicle including the image of the first inventory part fitted over the image of the first vehicle part.

Abstract: A method and a system for summarization of short comments are provided. The system comprises a memory to store a plurality of comments. Each of the plurality of comments including an overall rating and at least one phrase. The system also includes one or more processors to implement an aspect module to identify a head term based on a portion of the plurality of comments and to map the portion of the plurality of comments to an aspect corresponding to an attribute of an entity. The one or more processor also implement an extraction module to extract, from the portion of the plurality of comments, a representative phrase corresponding to the aspect.

Abstract: Various example embodiments are provided for inferring relationships between a first query comprising a plurality of first terms and a second query comprising a plurality of second terms. In an example, queries are related based on the identification of common terms between the queries. One or more dissimilar terms are identified between the plurality of first terms and the plurality of second terms. A first number of dissimilar terms included in the first query and a second number of dissimilar terms included in the second query are identified. A weight is assigned to the relationship between the first query and the second query based on a difference between the first number and the second number.

Abstract: Systems and methods of visual mining of user behavior patterns are disclosed. A plurality of clickstreams may be received. Each clickstream may represent a corresponding sequence of user actions. A visual representation of each clickstream may be caused to be displayed on a device. Each visual representation may comprise a distinct graphical element for each user action of the corresponding clickstream, and each visual representation may be configured to indicate a frequency level of the corresponding clickstream. Each distinct graphical element may comprise a geometric shape and a corresponding color that distinctly represents the corresponding user action. Graphical elements of each visual representation may comprise a size that is proportional to the frequency level of the corresponding clickstream. An indication of a selection of one of the visual representations may be received, and additional information about the corresponding clickstream may be caused to be displayed on the device.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for providing listing assistance to a user for generating an item listing is provided. In example embodiments, user input is received from a device of the user. Information regarding item listings that correspond to the user input is accessed. Statistic data is generated using the accessed information. The statistic data is provided for display to the device of the user for generating the item listing.
