  • Publication number: 20240070588
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media that support application portfolio management. Input data may be received that is associated with a set of applications. The input data may indicate, for each application of the set of applications, a name of the application and a description of the application. For an application of the set of applications, a functional score, a cost, and a technical score may be determined based on the name of the application, the description of the application, or a combination thereof. A disposition recommendation for the application may be determined based on the functional score, the cost, and the technical score. In some implementation, an indication of the disposition recommendation of the application may be output via a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20170126598
Abstract: Methods and systems consistent with the present invention provide a file delivery system for transmitting files to recipients using email, which may be used with existing email infrastructure. Email clients may “attach” files to an email by an attachment process. The attachment process, however, associates a placeholder with the email instead of the actual file. The placeholder is replaced with a URL link to the file and the email is sent. The system moves the attachments over the network to a remote server that is capable of delivering the attachments to the email recipients. File attachments are routed to recipients independent of the associated email.

  • Patent number: 8520686
Abstract: A system and method are provided for interfacing a Fiber Channel network to an Ethernet based network. The method includes the operation of establishing a connection between a Fiber Channel device and an NPIV interface in an Ethernet interconnect module (210). Another operation is processing a fabric login from a server on the Ethernet based network, along with a server identifier that is sent to the Fiber Channel device (220). Acknowledgement frames for fabric login from the Fiber Channel device can be examined in order to identify the N_Port ID of the server (230). In another operation, the server's MAC address can be retrieved from a table using the N_Port ID (240). Then an Ethernet packet can be sent to the server using the server MAC address (250). The Ethernet packet contains a Fabric Provided MAC Address used to enable the server to communicate with the Fiber Channel device.

  • Patent number: 7113948
Abstract: The present invention provides is a file delivery system for transmitting files to recipients using email, which may be used with existing email infrastructures. High volumes of large file attachments may be handled by routing attachments independent of an associated email. An attachment distribution system extracts the attachments of emails at mail servers and routes them through a hosting server thereby alleviating server loading on the mail server. The system may be configured for delivery optimization, recipient authentication and delivery confirmation. The system examines emails flowing through a distributed network of mail servers, and may invoke attachment extraction based on configurable rules like attachment size and sender validity, and move the attachments over the Internet or Intranet to a remote server that is capable of delivering the attachments to the email recipients.
