  • Publication number: 20200411171
Abstract: A method for worklist prioritization for Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) in medical coding comprises receiving one or more cases from an admin computing device associated with a hospital administration, wherein each of the one or more cases is assigned a predetermined weightage to a corresponding plurality of parameters involved in each case; generating a confidence score of each of the one or more cases; adding the predetermined weightages of each of the one or more cases based on the confidence score; providing the one or more cases in a sequence based on a sum of predetermined weightages of each of the one or more cases from highest to lowest; and marking & scheduling the one or more cases in the generated sequence for a CDI Specialist (CDS) for review and take up of the one or more case based on the priority level for query generation.

  • Publication number: 20200159748
Abstract: A method of code recommendation includes analysing/tracking a pattern of search term and corresponding code assignment by the user, suggesting/recommending previously assigned codes when the same query is made subsequently, suggesting the co-existence of codes, and analysing/tracking the pattern of code co-existence assigning multiple codes.

  • Patent number: 10509889
Abstract: A system and method utilizing deep clinical knowledge represented as a knowledge-graph to complement and enhance Natural Language Processing (NLP) for efficient and high-quality computer assisted coding of medical text. One embodiment utilizes the International Classification of Diseases version-10 Procedural Coding System (ICD-10-PCS). The system uses multiple knowledge bases combined with direct mapping provided by the ICD-10-PCS standard to enhance the coverage of assigned code. The system identifies ICD-10-PCS code considering hierarchical mapping and identifies the code by individual ICD-10-PCS character.

  • Publication number: 20190221213
Abstract: A computer implemented method for reducing the Turn around time (TAT) for transcription of audio source file, comprises steps of receiving source audio file and passing the source audio file through integrated Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) engine and silent node detector for converting the source audio file to output text, improving the output text by machine learning, segmenting the output text file to text chunks at silent nodes, filtering and classifying the segmented text chunks to high confidence score chunks and low confidence score chunks, on basis of predetermined threshold confidence score, distributing the text chunks with low confidence score and corresponding audio chunks to multiple users for correction and merging the corrected text with the text chunks having the high confidence score to obtain a final single text output file that is synchronous with source audio file.

  • Patent number: 7800049
Abstract: An occupancy sensor having a replaceable cover with a convenient adjustment and installation scheme is disclosed herein. More particularly, a single or multi-technology occupancy sensor, assembled inside a semi-spherical shaped enclosure includes a replaceable cover with a convenient adjustment and installation scheme. This sensor design enables the sensor to be rotated after installation to obtain a desired coverage patterns. Specifically, the housing for the occupancy sensor includes a front cover having a lens assembly, a base assembly, a harmonic wheel, and a back cover. The front cover couples to the base assembly such that tool-less, manual access is available through the manually removable cover assembly to adjust several features of the sensor. The harmonic wheel enables the front cover, which includes the lens to swivel from zero to 359 degrees relative to the back cover anytime after installation.

  • Patent number: 7560696
Abstract: A sensor mounting mechanism that includes a base member adapted to be mounted to a structure and a base neck having a first end and a second end where the first end is adapted to be coupled to a sensor with a ball-socket coupling and the second end is coupled to the base member with a rotating coupling. The mounting mechanism provides fine and coarse adjustment means for adjusting the scanning area of the sensor such as an PIR occupancy sensor without the use of a tool. The sensor includes a detachable lens holder for easy replacement of the lens.
