  • Patent number: 11082457
Abstract: Techniques for media processing are described. A system may initiate and manage a communication session between two or more devices, with routing services enabling devices from one or more networks to send and receive data. During the communication session, the system may route media data to a media processing unit to perform media processing on data being sent between devices in order to provide additional functionality. For example, video content may be processed to provide subtitles in a plurality of languages, filters may be applied to change color balance or perform colorization of black and white content, or the like. The media processing unit and routing are configured to allow low latency processing to enable feature rich configurable processing to enhance various media communication sessions.

  • Patent number: 9529059
Abstract: An electronic measuring device is described that can include first and second input inductors connected in series. A shunt inductor is connected in parallel with the second input inductor. Optionally, an additional shunt inductor may also be used in parallel with the first input inductor. The first and second input inductors are inductively coupled to first and second SQUIDs which are in turn inductively coupled to first and second feedback inductors. First and second SQUID controllers are connected, respectively, to the first and second SQUIDs as well as the first and second feedback inductors. The first and second SQUID controllers are also connected to a processor. The processor is operable to process the output of the first and second SQUID controllers to detect unlocking events in the output of the first SQUID controller.

  • Patent number: 8351473
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving wavelength control in tunable laser sources. Embodiments of the systems and methods include delivering a fraction of the light output from the laser to an optical filter subsystem. The optical filter subsystem is capable of outputting at least one filter response signal, and comprises 2 complementary optical etalon filters with nominally identical free spectral ranges but offset by nominally one third of the free spectral range. The filter response signal is processed in a control unit which executes a control algorithm to generate a tuning signal that is used to control the wavelength of the laser.

  • Patent number: 8335432
Abstract: Optical networks interconnect a plurality of optical network units (ONUs) to an optical line terminal (OLT). The OLT comprises a plurality of optical transceivers that are wavelength division multiplexed and connected to a WDM metro network. The metro network is configured to facilitate communication of a plurality of wavelengths between the OLT and local nodes, the local nodes including a wavelength sharing network configured to connect at least one of the wavelengths communicated with the OLT to a plurality of feeder fibers. The feeder fibers connect the wavelength sharing network to remote nodes that comprise WDM devices that have pluralities of output ports. An optical combiner allows the first and second ONUs to share the same transceiver in the OLT.

  • Publication number: 20090077254
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for streamed-media distribution comprises a first media stream received at a streaming server, at least a first and a second client in communication with the streaming server, first and second sub-stream packet streams created from the first media stream at the streaming server, and received by first and second clients, respectively, a first peer-relay list, transmitted from the streaming server and received by the first client, wherein the first peer-relay list includes forwarding information for the first client, a third sub-stream packet stream, forwarded from the first client and received at the second client, wherein the third-sub-stream packet stream is substantially the same as the first sub-stream packet stream, and a notification, transmitted by the second client to the streaming server, if any of the packets in the third sub-stream packet stream are not received in a timely manner from the first client.
