    Abstract: A lift device includes a pivot assembly pivotally coupled between a mast assembly and a guardrail assembly and a locking plate defining an external cutout and an internal cavity. A pair of link arms link movement of a platform assembly and the the guardrail assembly so that the platform assembly and the guardrail assembly simultaneously pivot between a working position and a folded position. When pivoting from the folded position to the working position, a locking mechanism pivots toward the locking plate so that a tab of the locking mechanism is inserted through the external cutout and into the internal cavity. Rotation of a handle in a locking direction rotates the tab to a locked position where the tab is prevented from being removed from the internal cavity and, thereby, the platform assembly and the guardrail assembly are prevented from pivoting from the working position to the folded position.

In response to the belt decoupling from the pulley wheel, the tension spring is configured to bias the tension arm so that the tension arm pivots relative to the locking pin to allow the locking spring to displace the locking pin into one of the locking slots and prevent the outer mast section from moving relative to the inner mast section.
