  • Publication number: 20160117725
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for determining that a consumer will purchase a product or service based on a location of the consumer's vehicle and purchasing habit. Electronic merchant information and purchasing information is processed to predict a future purchase from a merchant. Further processing is triggered of location information that represents a location of the consumer to enable one of the merchants to take action in view of the predicted future purchase. A notification is received over from a computing device associated with one of the respective merchants that represents a purchase by the consumer. The purchase by the consumer matches the predicted future purchase. Information associated with the notification is selectively stored, using at least one processor, in the at least one database as part of the electronic purchasing information in the event that the matching purchase is within a prescribed time of the triggered processing.

  • Patent number: 9273350
Abstract: A method for the detection of a target nucleic acid, which method comprises contacting template nucleic acid from a sample with (i) a signalling system and (ii) a tailed nucleic acid primer having a template binding region and the tail comprising a linker and a target binding region, in the presence of appropriate nucleoside triphosphates and an agent for polymerisation thereof, under conditions such that the template binding region of the primer will hybridise to a complementary sequence in the template nucleic acid and be extended to form a primer extension product, separating any such product from the template whereupon the target binding region in the tail of the primer will hybridise to a sequence in the primer extension product corresponding to the target nucleic acid, and wherein any such target specific hybridisation causes a detectable change in the signalling system, such that the presence or absence of the target nucleic acid in the sample is detected by reference to the presence or absence of a de

  • Publication number: 20150332343
Abstract: A processor accesses information representing activity of a plurality of respective users of each of a plurality of Internet web sites and a time associated with the activity. Further, a processor accesses geo-location information representing at least a location of a respective device operated by each of the plurality of respective users. The electronic activity information is processed to determine a respective interest of each of the respective users. A respective targeted communication is generated for each by: calculating a decay value representing a decline of the determined interests of the respective users; weighting the respective determined interests of the users to represent the decline; and selecting content for inclusion in the targeted communication for each of respective users. Further the generated respective targeted communication is transmitted, by a processor, to each respective one of the plurality of users via a communication device over a data-communication network.

  • Patent number: 9179724
Abstract: A wearable sombrero-style hat with a refillable reservoir is disclosed. The sombrero-style, or type, hat has a generally conical crown with an opening at the top of the conical crown. The opening allows the use of a reservoir that is adapted for insertion through the opening in the conical crown. The reservoir also includes an upper end with a fill neck that has a cantilevered collar or protrusion that extend from the fill neck in a generally radial manner. The collar or protrusions engages the edge of the edge of the opening at the top of the generally conical crown to support the fill neck at or near the top of the conical crown, while the lower end and outlet of the reservoir are positioned below the fill neck, and thus allow the connection of a dispensing tube to the outlet of the reservoir, and thus allow the user to drink from the reservoir through the dispensing tube.
