  • Patent number: 10585004
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining an ambient temperature in a volume using a lighting based sensor. A status of a light with which a temperature sensor is associated is determined. A correction factor is accessed from a computer-readable medium based on the status of the light. A measured temperature is received via the temperature sensor. The measured temperature is transformed based on the correction factor, and the transformed temperature is transmitted from the light to a remote location.

  • Patent number: 10544663
Abstract: A method for well completion employs a combined plugging and perforating operation for creating multiple spaced-apart clusters of perforations and optional stimulation treatments in stages. For each stage to be completed, a frac plug, carried, for example, along a wireline bottom hole assembly with perforating guns, is set in the wellbore distal (toward the toe end of the well) of the most proximal perforation cluster of the previous stage, thereby maintaining open hole conditions that provide adequate flow past the most distal perforation clusters in the current stage and minimizing proppant accumulation in the wellbore from stimulation operations. The method further allows subsequent pump down of tools and equipment even with the plug set in the wellbore.

  • Patent number: 10512138
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for adjusting the brightness level of a lighting system based on an ambient light measurement from a lighting based sensor. Systems and methods are provided for adjusting the brightness level of a lighting system based on an ambient light measurement from a lighting based sensor. In one example, an ambient light level in a space is measured with an embedded ambient light sensor in a luminaire. The ambient light level measurement is adjusted based on a correlation of the measurement with previously stored illumination data. A brightness level is selected based on the adjusted ambient light level measurement. The space is illuminated using the chosen brightness level.
