  • Publication number: 20240087251
Abstract: A computer-implemented is disclosed. The method includes: determining a first position of a real display device in a real-world environment; receiving a request to display virtual information at a second relative position with respect to the first position in an AR version of the real-world environment; responsive to receiving the request: determining a displayable area associated with the second relative position; and causing the virtual information to be overlaid on the displayable area in the AR version of the real-world environment.

  • Patent number: 11457941
Abstract: In one embodiment, an articulable endoscopic instrument including an articulable retractor configured to pass through a working channel of an endoscope, the articulable retractor including an end effector mounted to a distal end of the articulable retractor, and a handle to which the articulable retractor is mounted, the handle comprising controls that enable a user of the instrument to both articulate the retractor and actuate the end effector, wherein the retractor can be articulated using the controls to form two independent bends lying within one plane, the bends together forming a complex curve.

  • Publication number: 20190046783
Abstract: In one embodiment, a sterile connector includes an inner member having a connection fitting configured to couple with a separate component that is to be connected to the sterile connector and an inner passage through which fluids can travel, and an outer member in which the inner member is received, the outer member having an inner sealing mechanism that seals the connection fitting within the outer member to protect the connection fitting from contamination, wherein the connection fitting can be passed through the sealing mechanism and extended from the outer member to enable the connection fitting to couple with the separate component.

  • Patent number: 6353377
Abstract: The present invention provides a spring for a tripping mechanism in a circuit breaker for connection to a circuit. The tripping mechanism has a first component which is accelerated along a predetermined path of travel to a trip release velocity upon occurrence of a trip event in the circuit and a second component which is initially stationary prior to engaging the first component. The spring includes a body for decreasing the trip release velocity of the first component prior to engaging the second component. A tripbar for a tripping mechanism in a circuit breaker for connection to a circuit is also provided. The tripping mechanism has an armature which is accelerated along a predetermined path of travel to a trip release velocity upon occurrence of a trip event in the circuit while the tripbar is initially stationary prior to engaging the first component. The tripping mechanism further includes a spring having at least two ends.

  • Patent number: 6253213
Abstract: A method and system for automatically maintaining data consistency across two or more hierarchically arranged databases is disclosed. A master list and an environmental variable file are created for use in maintaining the data consistency of a cell view. A cell view in a selected database is then checked to see if it has been modified by performing date-time stamp shadowing. If the cell view is modified, the cell view is then retrieved by derivative lists created from the master list and the environmental variable file and translated based on criteria from the environmental variable file. Verification is then performed on the translated cell view once again based on criteria from the environmental variable file. This verification creates a signature for the translated cell view. Signatures are then checked for being out of date with respect to any dependency listing contained internally. Any signature found to be out of date triggers an automatic re-verification of the pertinent data file.

  • Patent number: 5663669
Abstract: A method and circuitry are provided for latching information. The information is selectively transferred from a selected one of: a first node (DIN) to a second node (416); and a third node (SIN) to a fourth node (419a-b). The transferred information is selectively latched by coupling the second node (416) to the fourth node (419a-b) in response to a signal (308, 410).

  • Patent number: 5655141
Abstract: A processing system and method of operation are provided. At least one execution unit processes information of a register in response to an instruction specifying the register. Each of multiple control units selectively allocates a respective one of multiple buffers to store the information in response to the instruction.
