Abstract: A video production switcher comprises a number of mix effects units, each mix effects unit providing a video output signal for use in displaying images on a display; a memory for storing an image; and a controller for (a) mapping the stored image to a global space, the global space associated with the display, and (b) for determining a number of viewports in the global space, each viewport associated with one of the number of mix effects units, a portion of the stored image and a screen of the display; and wherein those viewports associated with adjacent screens of the display overlap.
