  • Publication number: 20230129278
Abstract: Records remotely stored for organizations include first data matching device identification data coupled to a device and safety-critical data for the device. The records are accessed by a mobile device operated by a user authorized by one of the organizations. An offline database is constructed on the mobile device using only records for the one organization. The mobile device is used to obtain device identification data from a particular device. It is determined if a first match exists between the device identification data and the remotely-stored first data, or if a second match exists between the device identification data and the first data in the offline database. Updates to the safety-critical data for the device are obtained via the mobile device when one of the first match and second match exists, and are stored in the remotely-stored record associated therewith.

  • Publication number: 20220229409
Abstract: A method and mobile device are provided for managing safety aspects associated with assets of a compressed gas system. The mobile device captures a unique identifier coupled to and associated with an asset of a compressed gas system, establishes a wireless connection with a remote database storing historical data associated with the asset, and displays prompts related to the asset where the prompts include asset-inspection-criteria prompts. User-supplied responses to the prompts are received at the mobile device. The mobile device then transmits the responses via the wireless connection to the remote database for inclusion with the historical data associated with the asset.

  • Publication number: 20210334766
Abstract: A mobile device for use in managing safety aspects associated with gas cylinder fill operations includes a memory for storing computer-executable instructions and a processor for executing the computer-executable instructions. The mobile device also includes a display component, an input component, a reading component, and a wireless interface component. The display component displays prompts to include cylinder-inspection-criteria prompts and cylinder-filling-data prompts. The input component receives user-supplied responses to the prompts. The reading component captures a unique identifier coupled to and associated with a gas cylinder. The wireless interface component sends and receives data over a wireless network. The user-supplied responses are associated with the unique identifier of the gas cylinder and are transmitted over the wireless network via the wireless interface component for inclusion with historical data associated with the gas cylinder maintained at a remote data store.

  • Publication number: 20190201863
Abstract: An apparatus for optically-verified de novo DNA synthesis includes a microfluidic system that has channels leading in and out of a synthesis chamber having a functionalized region on a floor thereof on which a single-strand of DNA to which a nucleotide is to be attached can be fixed. The chamber is in optical communication with both an illumination system, which excites an electron in a fluorophore that is attached to the DNA strand, a detection system, which detects a signature photon emitted as the excited electron decays into its ground state.
