Patent number: 10275538Abstract: A resource set comprising a set of resources may be provided to the public. It may be desirable to associate with the resources a set of public names, such as friendly URLs that may be more memorable, may indicate to users the type of resource so named, and may promote indexing of the resources by search engines. A name hierarchy (such as a portion of a file system) may store at least one reference that associates a public name with a resource. A name hierarchy navigation logic may facilitate navigation through the name hierarchy, and may specify a particular location within the name hierarchy where a reference associated with the public name is to be stored. This manner of associating public names with resources may promote the scalability and efficiency in associating public names with resources and in retrieving a resource associated with a particular public name.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2018Date of Patent: April 30, 2019Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Vladilen V. Bessonov, Todd D. Ostermeier, Paul B. Lorah, Christopher O'Neil Sanders

Publication number: 20150112842Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for identifying parts of a vehicle. A method and apparatus is also provided for generating keywords and logic structures to access a part number database. A method and apparatus is further provided for use of the keywords and logic structure to access the part number database. Vehicle identifiers such as VIN numbers are utilized to determine vehicle parts so that vehicle parts for a vehicle may be determined from the vehicle identifier of that vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2014Publication date: April 23, 2015Applicant: INSURANCE AUTO AUCTIONS, INC.Inventors: Joseph Michael Sieger, Neil Sanders, Samip Jani, Ramya Dubbudu, Sharada Rajaraman

Publication number: 20150029346Abstract: A system and method for evaluating quality of photographs of an item, such as a damaged vehicle for auction, includes displaying a predetermined set of views of the vehicle in a predetermined arrangement on a display screen for viewing by a reviewer. The predetermined views include an overlay of an alignment guide on some of the photographs. The reviewer enters a rating for the photographs of the set as a pass or fail rating, wherein the fail rating includes one of a plurality of fail ratings identifying a problem with at least one of the photographs. Following entry of a rating by the reviewer, a next set of photographs of a next item is displayed in the same predetermined arrangement as for the first item. Photographs receiving a fail rating are identified for re-taking of the photographs of the item. Overlays are provided for alignment of the object for photographers.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2013Publication date: January 29, 2015Applicant: Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Michael Sieger, Neil Sanders

Patent number: 7422692Abstract: Presently no chemicals are added in the pulp/paper mills wastewater treatment. There is a loop hole with the Biological Oxygen Demand test utilized. Regulators depend on the Biological Oxygen Demand test. All mills are discharging raw untreated wastes high in Chemical Oxygen Demand, (COD), Total Organic Carbon, (TOC) and COLOR. Liquid Alum solution is added to raw influent. All electrical energy aerated systems are eliminated. All flows from sewers join prior to the entrance to clarifier. The continuous in-line pH controller is proprietary as well as the continuous in-line COD analyzer. Because mills wastewater is amphoteric, it is mandatory that the raw influent pH be adjusted to range of 5.7 to 6.0 for optimum removal efficiencies. Aluminum chloride, ferric chloride and ferrous sulfate may be replaced for alum with higher operating costs. The precipitate is thickened, dewatered and incinerated, and approximately 75% of the chemicals regenerated.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2000Date of Patent: September 9, 2008Inventor: Launeil Neil Sanders

Patent number: 5688545Abstract: A coffee pack and method of packaging a coffee product. The coffee pack comprises a shell that forms separate coffee and aroma compartments with a small communicating hole or channel between the compartments. A quantity of a particulate coffee product, preferably soluble coffee, is located in the coffee compartment, and a quantity of a coffee aroma liquid containing aromatic volatiles, preferably coffee oil, is disposed in the aroma compartment. The communicating hole or channel between the compartments allows the aromatic volatiles to pass from the aroma compartment to the coffee compartment, without allowing any mixing, or at least any substantial mixing, in the coffee compartment between the coffee product and the coffee aroma liquid.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1996Date of Patent: November 18, 1997Assignee: Kraft Jacobs Suchard LimitedInventor: Neil Sanders
