  • Patent number: 7749202
Abstract: A plunger tip for being located on a distal end of a syringe plunger and for sliding sealed engagement with an interior surface of a syringe barrel includes a core constructed of a generally rigid material. The core has a first end for being secured to the plunger, a second end and an endless sidewall between the first and second ends. An elastomeric sleeve at least partially surrounds the endless sidewall of the core.

Date of Patent: July 6, 2010
    Assignee: West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc.
Inventors: Timothy M. Miller, Neil Strausbaugh, John R. Wolfe, Anthony L. Eaton
  • Publication number: 20080021434
Abstract: An injection port for an intravenous bag including a generally hollow tube that is mountable to the intravenous bag. The hollow tube has a first end. A polymeric plug is mounted in the first end. The polymeric plug is integrally molded into the tube proximate the first end. A method for constructing the injection port including injecting a first molding material into a mold cavity, allowing the first molding material to at least partially cure and harden, moving a movable mold part to expose a first cavity defined by inner surfaces of the at least partially cured and hardened molding material, injecting a second mold material into the first cavity, allowing the second molding material to at least partially cure and harden such that the second molding material bonds with the inner surfaces and removing the injection port from the mold.

  • Publication number: 20070045150
Abstract: A child-resistant container which holds at least one item. The container includes a housing having upper and lower walls and at least one open side between the upper and lower walls. The container also includes a tray having a drawer slideably positioned in the tray. The drawer is for containing the item. The tray is pivotably connected to the housing at a pivot joint for movement between a first position in which the tray and the drawer are contained in the housing for preventing access to the item and a second position in which the tray extends through the open side of the housing for exposing the drawer and the item.
