Patent number: 12285308Abstract: Dental matrix band devices including a housing with a band, a tensioning mechanism for the band with the control for the tensioning mechanism controllable by a control knob external to the housing, and at least one deflector pushbutton. The deflector pushbutton(s) applies pressure on an upper or lower portion of the band causing the geometry of the band to change. The resulting band geometry forms a conical loop better matching the configuration of a tooth. In one embodiment two deflector pushbuttons are provided and positioned to apply pressure on the upper or lower portion of the band depending on which deflector pushbutton is depressed in the housing. In another embodiment a single deflector pushbutton unit is provided with a pushbutton at each end.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2023Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: Medicom Group Inc.Inventors: Brian Lo, Richard Paré, Gabrielle Poirier, Benoit Orban, Jason Randall Ludvig, Shawn Jordan Fried, Nektaria Markoglou

Patent number: 11779066Abstract: A gown is disclosed with an opening in the back extending from the neck area to the bottom creating 2 panels. At least one elastic/flexible/stretchable strap is provided in the neck area of the gown. Each flexible strap has one end attached to each of the 2 panels of the open gown. The gown is designed for the first panel to extend over the second panel and can be weighted to minimize any movement of the first panel away from the second panel. In another embodiment a portion of the first panel extends to the user's side or front area and secured to the side or front of the gown.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2020Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: MEDICOM GROUP INC.Inventors: Nektaria Markoglou, Xin Hua Li

Publication number: 20040053355Abstract: A coupled system using extremely different enzymes with incompatible cofactors and reaction conditions has been constructed using standard liquid chromatographic formats and open tubular formats. One of the significant aspects of the present invention lies in the development of the liquid chromatographic on-line enzyme cascade. This has been illustrated by the biosynthetic pathway involving dopamine beta-hydroxylase and phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase which encompass the synthesis of the key neurotransmitters, norepinephrine and epinephrine. The results demonstrate for the first time the immobilization of dopamine beta-hydroxylase and phenylethanolamine N-methyltransferase. The IMERs are active and can be used in a liquid chromatographic format for qualitative and quantitative determinations.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2003Publication date: March 18, 2004Inventors: Irving Wainer, Nektaria Markoglou
