Abstract: A method of influencing access to website, social media or mobile application content is described. The method comprises identifying the occurrence of an item of live or previously broadcast media content, identifying consumer Internet activity at the time of the occurrence of the item of media content, and identifying, from said detected consumer internet activity, a strategy to influence an Internet search function, social media site or mobile application to display selected information. Then, a subsequent broadcast of the item of media content is identified, and the identified strategy is triggered at the point the item occurs during the time of the identified subsequent broadcast.
