  • Publication number: 20230233442
Abstract: A fragrance-containing microparticle of water-insoluble polymeric material, the polymer having a glass transition temperature of from 0° C. to 50° C. and a zeta potential lying within the ranges ?40 mV to ?5 mV and +5 mV to +45 mV. The microparticles have enhanced substantivity to hair, resulting in a longer-lasting fragrance.

  • Publication number: 20220361546
Abstract: Non-toxic, polymeric plush animal toys with incorporated natural food flavor compositions are shown and described. The flavor compositions are microencapsulated in a natural protein shell, and the microcapsules are incorporated in a mesh liner. Along with a plush outer layer, the mesh liner defines a fabric enclosure that encloses a compressible fill material. When an animal bites into the toy, the microcapsules rupture, and the food flavor composition diffuses through the mesh liner and plush outer layer.

  • Patent number: 11382845
Abstract: Core-shell microcapsules comprising a hydrophobic core surrounded by a shell comprising a thermosetting resin comprising moieties derived from polyisocyanates, substantially unprotonated chitosan and another amine different from chitosan, characterized in that the substantially unprotonated chitosan is delivered in the solid, powder form to the locus of the encapsulation reaction. The core-shell microcapsules are provided in the form of a slurry comprising 10 to 50 wt % of microcapsules, based on the total weight of the slurry, and the shell of the microcapsules comprises from 0.1 to 20 wt % of moieties derived from chitosan, based on the total weight of the shell.

  • Publication number: 20210315794
Abstract: Disclosed is a consumer product comprising a plurality of microcapsules dispersed in a dispersing medium. The microcapsules comprise a core and a shell around the core. The core comprises at least one functional material. The shells of the microcapsules are coated with chitosan. The dispersing medium comprises additional free chitosan. Disclosed is also a method for making such a consumer product, a method for enhancing the deposition and rinse resistance of a plurality of microcapsules dispersed in a dispersing medium and a use of chitosan for enhancing the deposition and rinse resistance of a plurality of microcapsules dispersed in a dispersing medium.
