  • Publication number: 20180316044
Abstract: A method for preparing a sodium-ion battery comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged to either side of an electrolyte, the positive electrode comprising, as the active material, a material made from sodium, the method comprising the following steps: a step of depositing a sodium salt on the surface of the positive electrode, before placing same in the battery; a step of assembling the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the electrolyte; and a step of forming a passivation layer on the surface of the negative electrode with the sodium ions from the decomposition of the sodium salt, by applying a first charge to the abovementioned assembly.

  • Patent number: 9608456
Abstract: A method for determining the self-discharge current of a lithium-ion battery provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte arranged between the positive and negative electrodes includes charging the battery until a metal lithium layer is formed between the electrolyte and the negative electrode, measuring the open-circuit voltage of the battery at two moments, and determining the self-discharge current from the variation of the voltage measured between the two moments.

Assignee: COMMISSARIAT À L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES
Inventors: Nelly Martin, Frederic Le Cras
  • Publication number: 20160172682
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a secondary battery electrode including the steps of: depositing an ink including at least one active electrode material, on a substrate; drying the ink; depositing a protection layer on the previously dried ink; and calendering the electrode thus formed.
