Abstract: Method pertains to a system of entities that make purchases and interact either synchronously or asynchronously into a group that exercises collective buying power. It provides a process whereby individual entities can enter the group at a specified price and receive a rebate as new entities enter the group. The method is useful because of its transparency, sustainability, and ability to provide economic benefits equitably to all stakeholders and incentives to entities in the group to market the group and recruit individuals to join the group. Move over, the structure of the system improves upon the standard coupon scheme as well as the bid and offer system.

Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing an electrical connector which includes a dielectric housing having a plurality of side-by-side channels separated by partition walls at one side of the housing. A plurality of terminals are mounted on the housing, with lead portions of the terminals located in the channels. The method includes the steps of seating the lead portions of the terminals into the channels, and forming first or minor portions from the partition walls onto the lead portions to retain the lead portions in the channels. Second or major portions of the partition walls then are formed onto the first or minor portions which are in contact with the lead portions to securely lock the lead portions in the channels. The seating step and the first forming step may be carried out simultaneously.

Abstract: An electrical connector is provided for mounting a microphone which has opposite flat faces joined by an arcuate periphery, with a speaker in one of the flat faces. The connector includes a dielectric housing having a generally rectangular microphone insertion cavity for receiving the microphone inserted periphery-first into the cavity. The cavity is defined at least in part by opposing side walls of the housing adapted for engaging the opposite faces of the microphone at the edges thereof near the periphery of the microphone. At least one side wall has an opening in registry with the speaker face of the microphone. Terminals project into the cavity for engaging appropriate terminals on the microphone.

Abstract: An electrical connector is disclosed for mounting on a printed circuit board. The connector includes a dielectric housing having a mating portion. A plurality of terminals are mounted in the housing and include tail portions extending therefrom. A conductive shell is mounted on the housing at least about the mating portion thereof. A conductive electrostatic discharge plate is mounted about the tail portions creating a predetermined spark gap between the plate and the tail portions to pass a current when a predetermined voltage exists between the plate and the tail portions. A conductive board lock holds the connector to the printed circuit board and is adapted for connection to a ground circuit on the board. The board lock engages the conductive shell and the conductive electrostatic discharge plate to common the shell and the plate with the ground circuit on the printed circuit board.
