    Abstract: The present invention relates to an airborne trailing cable-antenna which is multi-sectional. The cable-antenna comprises an electromagnetic radiating portion for the transmission of electromagnetic energy and a non-radiating portion which because of its weight, length, density and other aerodynamic characteristics provides the physical length necessary for the propagation of the radiated electromagnetic energy in a vertical polarized plane. This improved, multi-sectional, trailing, airborne cable-antenna facilitates the transmission of electromagnetic energy in a vertical polarized plane at higher frequencies not previously possible.

    Abstract: A trailing wire antenna coupling and control method for providing maximum voltage limited power output from power amplifiers of a high power low frequency RF transmitter system while varying the inductance of the coupling circuit to present a high resistance load having practically zero reactance to the power amplifiers, all during extension and retraction of the antenna toward and from its optimum length, as well as at the optimum length.

    Abstract: Hardening of an electromagnetic wave sensor is accomplished by housing it low ground in a protective reinforced concrete structure that supports a cage of insulated conductors that has an interior portion that partially surrounds the sensor so as to shield it from electrical disturbances and an exterior portion that interacts with electromagnetic wave energy present at the ground level and improves the signal couplng to the sensor.
