Abstract: An inflow control device (ICD) includes an annular body having an outer surface and an inner surface. An annular recess extends along the inner surface. An opening extends through the outer surface into the annular recess, and a removable orifice plug is arranged in the opening. The removable orifice plug includes a body member having an annular wall including a first end arranged at the outer surface and a second end extending through the annular recess. The removable orifice plug further includes an orifice passage extending into the annular body from the second end and at least one channel extending through the annular wall into the orifice.

Abstract: An inflow control device laterally insertable in a wall of a tubular, the inflow control device includes a plug shaped body having a first section and a second section, the first section having an orifice accessible to an interior of the tubular and the second section having an opening accessible to an exterior of the tubular, the orifice in fluid communication with the opening; and a selectable insert insertable into the orifice, the insert having an inner periphery providing a flow path between the exterior and interior of the tubular. Also, included is a production string and adjustable orifice inflow control device combination.

Abstract: A metallic seal for a 90° valve features a generally rectangular shape in section that defines a chamber open to internal pressure that can enlarge the chamber to enhance the sealing effect. Sealing occurs at discrete locations at portions of the seal that are preferably rounded in shape. Overlapping ends that define the entrance to the chamber also are positioned to minimize excessive deflection and resulting plastic deformation that could close off the entrance to the chamber.
