  • Publication number: 20160050939
Abstract: The duct assembly of the present disclosure includes one or more air impingement ducts and a plenum plate for receiving the impingement duct. Each impingement duct includes a housing, a columnating plate with one or more columnating orifices, and a cover plate with one or more cover orifices. The housing, columnating plate, and cover plate are arranged in stacked arrangement, and collectively define an interior space in the duct. Heated air is passed through the interior space and out through the orifices. At least one of the plenum plate, housing, columnating plate, and cover plate includes a mechanical feature that mates with a corresponding feature on another of the duct components, to ensure that only specific duct components can be assembled together. In one embodiment, the columnating plate includes a pin protruding with an end that mates with a corresponding notch on the cover plate.

  • Publication number: 20100103687
Abstract: A mounting system for attaching a track lighting head to a track includes an interim assembly including a track attachment device adapted to selectively attach the interim assembly to the track, a track head, and a remotely operable head attachment device for attaching the track head to the interim assembly. An attachment design of the track attachment device is different than an attachment design of the head attachment device.

  • Publication number: 20050253032
Abstract: A method and apparatus for tamper resistant device attachment to a mounting surface is disclosed. A remotely attachable and separable coupling system has: a base member that is attachable to the surface; a covered mount with a cover as a front side suitable for attaching the device thereto; a coupling that removably couples the back side of the mount to the base member such that the base member, the coupling, and a back side of the mount are enclosed between the cover and the mounting surface; and an attachment of the device to the front side of the mount is such that the attachment is only accessible for operation from the back side of the mount. The attachment is inherently tamper resistant in that a tool is required to uncouple it. Attaching the system components as taught makes all parts of the system including attached devices tamper resistant, and applying lock and key technology enhances this.

  • Publication number: 20050045784
Abstract: An article for mounting from or against the ceiling is removably coupled to a base fixedly secured to the ceiling, by a person standing on the floor, supporting the article on an elongated rod, and thrusting the article against the base to couple the article and the secured base. The article is removed by inserting the rod into the article, exerting a force on the rod to uncouple the article from the base, and supporting the article on the rod as the article is lowered. The article is thus positioned on or hung from the ceiling, without being manually contacted by the person. The article may be used to mount other devices, such as a sign, smoke detector, etc. or may include such device as a part of the mount.

  • Patent number: 6446907
Abstract: A helicopter drip pan apparatus for covering and sealing a structural opening in a helicopter. The drip pan apparatus includes a frame member adapted to mount to the structural opening of the helicopter. The frame member has an inwardly-facing peripheral surface extending around the frame member. The frame member and thus the surface have at least one linear portion. A drip pan is selectively affixed to the frame member. The drip pan includes an outwardly-facing peripheral groove which extends around the outside edge of the drip pan. Like the surface of the frame member, the groove has at least one linear portion. The perimeter of the drip pan conforms to the surface of the frame member. A seal member is disposed in the groove of the drip pan to sealingly engaging the surface of the frame member against fluid leakage therethrough.
