Abstract: A resonant magnetic ring antenna which includes a dielectric substrate having opposing first and second sides, a first and second ring elements disposed upon the opposing first and second sides of the substrate in a corresponding location, the first and second ring elements each comprising a trace having a spiral configuration with an outer radius, an inner radius, a spacing, and a number of turns, the resonant magnetic ring antenna being configured to concentrate radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields over a controlled volume at a specified distance from an imaging device in which it is incorporated.
