    Abstract: An inexpensive top-down-bottom-up shade made up of a head rail, a top rail, a bottom rail, and an expanse of shade material having a top edge attached to the top rail and a bottom edge attached to the bottom rail. The head rail includes a top rail lift mechanism for lowering and raising the top rail and a bottom rail lift mechanism for raising and lowering the bottom rail. The top rail lift mechanism includes at least two top rail lift cords tied to the top rail and the bottom rail lift mechanism includes at least two bottom rail lift cords that are secured to the bottom rail with washer-shaped elements.

    Abstract: An apparatus for lifting and folding a sheet of material used as a window covering, having a headrail for attaching the apparatus adjacent to a window, a pair of spaced apart straps extending vertically from the headrail, a plurality of rods extending horizontally between the straps which are operative for affixing the sheet of material to the apparatus. The apparatus also includes a first plurality of clips for attaching the sheet of fabric material to the rods. Each of the clips is adapted for coupling the rods to the straps at a plurality of vertically spaced apart locations along the straps to provide a plurality of folds in the sheet of material. A second plurality of clips are also provided for attaching the sheet of material to the ends of the rods while the first plurality of clips are used for attaching the sheet of material at locations remote from the ends of said rods.

    Abstract: A mounting bracket assembly is provided for supporting shades, blinds, curtains, cornices, and valances having a support rail, which includes an L-shaped mounting section having an integrally connected back member, interior side members and an extended top member, and the extended top member having a U-shaped channel formed therein for fitting into a U-shaped channel of the support rail. It also includes an L-shaped holding section having an integrally connected rear member, exterior side members, and a bottom support member for supporting the support rail in place. A threaded bolt is provided for connecting an interior lip member of the mounting section with an exterior lip member of the holding section to join the mounting section and the holding section to form the mounting bracket assembly.
