  • Publication number: 20200322173
Abstract: In embodiments, an authentication server interfaces between a user device with a self-signed certificate and a verifying computer that accepts a user name and password. The user device generates a self-signed certificate signed by a private key on the user device. The self-signed certificate is transmitted to a verifying party computer over a network. The verifying party stores the self-signed certificate with user identification data. The user migrates trust to another device by providing the root certificate and intermediate certificate as a certificate chain to a second device, which then adds a new intermediate certificate to create a longer certificate chain with the same root certificate. In subsequent communications, the verifying party receives a certificate chain including the self-signed certificate from the second user device, and matches that with the user identification data stored in a database.

  • Publication number: 20200322703
Abstract: A method for execution by a monitoring data analysis system includes receiving a plurality of measurement data from the gateway device, each indicating a measurement generated by one of a plurality of multi-sensor units. A set of measurement entries are generated based on the plurality of measurement data, and the set of measurement entries are added to a measurement database. A custom function definition for a custom function is received from a client device based on user input to a graphical user interface. Custom function output is generated by performing the custom function on a filtered subset of the plurality of measurement entries by utilizing the custom function definition. The custom function output is transmitted to the client device for display via the graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20200316239
Abstract: A system and methods for sterilizing and drying contaminated articles, particularly medical articles, and more particularly the hollow internal areas of medical instruments or lumens of medical endoscopes. The system includes a plasma generator having an electrode, a shield, and a dielectric gap between the electrode and the shield. A source of electrical power connected to the plasma generator applies an electrode energy density between the electrode and the shield. A source of a sterilizing gas precursor provides a flow of the sterilizing gas precursor through the plasma generator to generate a plasma, thereby forming a sterilizing gas including acidic and/or oxidizing species. The contaminated article is exposed to the sterilizing gas for a time sufficient to achieve a desired degree of sterilization. A turbulent flow of a drying gas is used to dry the contaminated article alternately with the exposure of the contaminated article to the sterilizing gas.

  • Patent number: 10793396
Abstract: An elevator car door safety device that uses flags along a hoistway is disclosed. The elevator car door safety device is mounted to the outside of an elevator car door using a mounting plate and includes a locking assembly mounted to the sill of the elevator car door. The car door safety device includes a lever with a hook at its distal end. The safety device also includes a flag engagement arm perpendicularly mounted to the lever. If the flag engagement arm engages a flag on the hoistway then the hook is prevented from being lodged into the locking assembly and the car door is permitted to open. Inversely, if no flag is engaged, the lever will continue to rotate urging the hook to be lodged within the locking assembly, thereby preventing the door from opening. An electric switch assembly can be used to stop the motion of the elevator.

  • Patent number: 10797215
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to graded thermoelectric materials. In one aspect, a method includes providing a plurality of nanostructures. The plurality of nanostructures comprise a thermoelectric material, with nanostructures of the plurality of nanostructures having first ligands disposed on surfaces of the nanostructures. The plurality of nanostructures is deposited on a substrate to form a layer. The layer is contacted with a solution containing second ligands. A ligand exchange process occurs where some of the first ligands disposed on the plurality of nanostructures are replaced with the second ligands. A first region of the layer is removed from contact with the solution so that the ligand exchange process does not occur in the first region of the layer, with the ligand exchange process occurring in the layer in contact with the solution. The layer is then removed from contact with the solution.

  • Patent number: 10796067
Abstract: Systems, methods, media, and other such embodiments described herein relate to critical area analysis (CAA) operations as part of electronic design automation (EDA). One embodiment involves accessing a circuit design having a first layer (which may be a composite layer), sampling the first layer, and performing an initial CAA using the sampled portions of the layer with a set of predetermined defect sizes. The initial CAA is used to automatically generate a model which can be used to accurately select input parameters (e.g., selected defect sizes) for a full analysis. A CAA characteristic is then calculated for the first layer using the input parameters. In various embodiments, different sampling percentages and criteria for selecting input parameters can be used to reduce the computing resources to compute a CAA characteristic, such as theta-bar, while limiting error to a threshold amount (e.g. less than one percent).

  • Patent number: 10793343
Abstract: An aerosol valve having a cap with integral tube passing into a lid of an aerosol can. The bottom of the lid has a valve body containing a gate and a spring. The interior of the valve body has tapered grooves that are narrower on an upper end to control the flow. The spring biases the face of the edge against the washer to close the valve. When the cap is pressed the tube presses the top of the gate to separate the edge and the washer thereby opening the valve and causing the contents of the aerosol can to be dispensed.

  • Patent number: 10792144
Abstract: An anastomosis stent includes an elongated body of a tubular configuration having a length and diameter dimensions extending in axial and radial directions of the elongated body and in a transverse relationship to each other. The elongated body is formed by multiple rings stacked adjacent one another in a direction parallel to the length dimension. Each ring is a single strand of wire bent in a repetitive pattern of sine waves. Each sine wave defines an alternating peak and valley divided by a length dimension extending orthogonal to the length dimension of the elongated body. The rings are fused together at locations on selected pairs of adjacent peaks and valleys of the rings with the fused locations arranged in parallel rows. The elongated body includes main and end portion and a safety mark about the elongated body at the juncture therebetween.
