  • Patent number: 5676329
Abstract: A method for automatically regulating a thread tension in a bobbin-winding machine having a lower pirn, an upper bobbin, and thread-tension devices, wherein during the entire time thread unwound from the lower pirn is collected on the upper bobbin in formation, the thread-tension devices press on the thread between the lower pirn and the upper bobbin with a pressure action controlled on the basis of a winding speed value of the thread.

  • Patent number: 5639037
Abstract: A method and apparatus serves to wind yarn on a forming bobbin driven by a grooved drive roller in a collection station, in such a manner as to prevent ribbing during the continuous superposing of the various layers of winding, hence rendering the subsequent technical operations to be undergone by the bobbin yarn both possible and simple. The apparatus includes a control unit having a keyboard, a mini-computer and a motive source which angularly positions the bobbin carrier arm such that the collection station operates in regions not in proximity with regions undergoing a ribbing effect.

  • Patent number: 5547138
Abstract: A method and device for winding yarn into bobbins, in an automatic winding machine in which the yarn is cut on command so that the cut end is wound onto the central portion of the surface of the bobbin under formation, in order to facilitate restoration of yam continuity and restarting of winding.

  • Patent number: 5004171
Abstract: A high-productivity bobbin winding method comprising a variable-duration intervention cycle for restoring yarn continuity. The cycle is divided into two parts, of which a first part is devoted to braking the bobbin and a second part is devoted to joining the yarn, between the commencement of the two parts there being interposed a delay which varies as a function of the time measured for the bobbin to come to rest during the preceding intervention cycle.

  • Patent number: 4964581
Abstract: An improved bobbin winding method comprising variable-duration interventions for restoring yarn continuity which are implemented in accordance with a cycle divided into a first bobbin braking part and a second yarn joining part. Between the commencement of the two parts of the cycle there is interposed a delay the duration of which varies as a function of the angular displacement of the bobbin carrier arm.

  • Patent number: 4958779
Abstract: A method for restoring yarn continuity during bobbin winding by means of an intervention cycle of variable duration divided into a first part for braking the bobbin and a second part for joining the yarn. Between the commencement of the two parts there is interposed a delay which varies as a function of the diameter reached by the bobbin at the moment of intervention.

  • Patent number: 4957244
Abstract: A high-productivity bobbin winding method comprising a variable-duration intervention cycle for restoring yarn continuity. The cycle is divided into two parts, of which a first part is devoted to braking the bobbin and a second part is devoted to joining the yarn, between the commencement of the two parts there being interposed a delay which varies as a function of the time measured for the bobbin to come to rest during the preceding intervention cycle. By reducing the stoppage time for rejoining the disconnected yarn, unproductive time during the winding operation is shortened.

  • Patent number: 4915314
Abstract: A device and a process for the regulation of the drive means which drive the various operating steps of the individual collection station of a winding machine, e.g., an automatic coner machine, wherein each collection station is equipped with a drive source.

  • Patent number: 4899286
Abstract: A process for determining the optimum winding speed to obtain greater productivity of an automatic coner machine fed with a certain type of yarn. Acceleration and braking values are optimized, as well as various production parameters of the devices along the path of the yarn. For example, the yarn tension, the slub catching level, and the amount and nature of the lubricant, or paraffin, applied to the yarn. The collection front of the machine is subdivided into various winding sectors. Each sector is preset, by means of a central microprocessor unit, to operate at a winding speed, and with operating parameters which are partially different from, and partially equal to, the operating parameters of the other sectors, according to a program pre-set in said central unit. The central microprocessor unit processes the data received from each individual sector, and compares them to each other to define and display the values of the operating parameters.

  • Patent number: 4896840
Abstract: A command and control device for the members carrying out the restoration of thread continuity on coner machines, which maintains the number of interventions of restoration within a maximum preset position, by a central control unit which supplies and conveys the signals between memory registers connected with said control unit; gives the consensus to the interventions conditioned on the verification of the number of interventions taking place; and manages the waiting list of intervention requests exceeding the maximum preset value.
