Abstract: A method for controlling breathing of a user during workout with an exercise machine is provided. The method includes acquiring, by a data processing unit of the exercise machine, at least one parameter representative of a physical exercise being performed by the user with the exercise machine, determining, by the data processing unit of the exercise machine, an indication of the breathing to be followed by the user while performing the physical exercise based on the acquired at least one parameter representative of the physical exercise, and providing the user, by the data processing unit of the exercise machine, with the determined indication of breathing. An exercise machine implementing the method for controlling breathing of the user during workout is also provided.

Abstract: Gymnastic machine usable by a user for a training, said user being provided with an electronic device wearable by the user and configured to receive commands by the user. The gymnastic machine comprises a main control unit configured to: receive from said electronic device, via a wireless-type data communication channel, an input command provided by the user to the electronic device; generate, based on the received input command, an operative command of the gymnastic machine; control the gymnastic machine based on said generated operative command. A system, a method, and a corresponding program product for the simplified control of the training of a user on a gymnastic machine are also described.

Abstract: A portable device (1), method and program product eneratea parameter related to the physical activity of a user. The device (1) includes a sensor (2) configured to measure information representative of the movement of the user. The sensor (2) is configured to generate, on the basis of such information, values of physical activity data. A data processing unit (3) operatively connected to the sensor (2), is configured to generate at least one physical activity rate parameter on the basis of the values of physical activity data generated by the sensor (2). The data processing unit (3) generates the at least one physical activity rate parameter in a first reference time instant on the basis of a portion of values of the values of physical activity data generated by the sensor (2) in a set period of time preceding the first reference time instant.
