  • Patent number: 10240520
Abstract: A split-cycle engine includes a compression cylinder having a first volume for a first working fluid and a second volume for a second working fluid, the first volume and second volume being separated by the compression piston, an expansion cylinder having a first volume for the first working fluid and a second volume for the second working fluid, the first volume and second volume being separated by the expansion piston, and a fluid coupling between the second volume of the compression cylinder and the second volume of the expansion cylinder, wherein the two second volumes and the fluid coupling provide a closed volume for the second working fluid, wherein the fluid coupling includes a regenerator arranged such that the two second volumes are thermally decoupled.

  • Patent number: 8322138
Abstract: A compressor for a turbocharger is supplied with crank case ventilation (CCV) gases from the engine which is turbocharged. The CCV gases are piped into an inlet of the compressor housing which supports an insert with an MWE structure. The MWE structure comprises an outer wall and an inner wall with a gas flow passage defined between them. At high r.p.m. of the compressor impeller air flows through the passage to provide more air volume to the impeller and at low r.p.m. excess air is bled out of the passage for recirculation. The CCV gases are directed to a position upstream of an inlet to the gas flow passage where they emerge through an outlet which may be defined in the insert. The CCV gases may be supplied to the outlet via a chamber defined between the insert and the compressor housing. The arrangement provides for improved mixing of CCV gases with the incoming air and does not compromise noise reduction.

  • Patent number: 4213899
Abstract: A dyestuff of the formula ##STR1## where D is a chromophoric residuen is 1 or 2Z is ##STR2## where R is H, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkyl substituted by OH, OSO.sub.3 H, CN or SO.sub.3 H or is phenyleach hal independently represents a chlorine or fluorine atom occupying one of the remaining 2-, 4- and 6-positions of the pyridine nucleusX is F, Cl, CN or NO.sub.2Y is H, F, Cl, CN or NO.sub.2.These dyestuffs reactively dye cellulose at low temperatures and are less prone to "acid bleeding" than some known reactive dyes.
