    Abstract: Embodiments of a downhole drilling tool, system, and method are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, A downhole sub, comprising: a housing; and at least one tunable stiffness member integrated with the housing, the tunable stiffness member comprising a programmable stiffness material; wherein a stiffness of the tunable stiffness member is adjusted in response to instructions from a control unit of a wellbore system. In another embodiment, a method is provided for adjusting the stiffness of a sub having one or more tunable stiffness members while the tool on which the sub is placed remains downhole.

    Abstract: An ultrafast wide-field quantum sensing device using a neuromorphic event-based vision sensor includes a laser generating a laser beam; a dichroic mirror directing the laser beam onto a diamond sample and passing the laser beam reflected from the diamond, and an event camera receiving from the dichroic mirror the beam reflected from the diamond. A source of microwave energy applied to the diamond. A pulse generator synchronizes the microwave source and the event camera to create CW-ODMR measurements, wherein trigger pulses from the pulse generator are applied to the camera and microwave source. The optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) resonance frequency is determined based on the CW-ODMR measurements.

    Abstract: A method of measuring cross-correlation or similarity between input features and filters of neural networks using an RRAM-crossbar architecture to carry out addition/subtraction-based neural networks for in-memory computing. The correlation calculations use L1 norm operations of AdderNet. The RCM structure of the RRAM-cross bar has storage and computing collocated, such that processing is done in the analog domain with low power, low latency and small area. In addition, the impact due to the nonidealities of RRAM device can be alleviated by the implicit ratio-based feature of the structure.

The echo residue is detected using a method that includes correlating audio data from an input channel with audio data from an output channel to obtain a correlation result. A determined value of the correlation result is compared with a predetermined threshold. The audio data for the input channel is categorized in a first category when the determined value of the correlation result is greater than the predetermined threshold. The audio data for the input channel is categorized in a second category when the determined value of the correlation result is less than the predetermined threshold. The first category includes audio data that is determined to include an acceptable level of residual echo. The second category includes audio data that is determined to include an unacceptable level of residual echo.

    Abstract: A packaging card for holding a refill spool. The packaging card includes a hanger cut-out for hanging the refill spool on a display rack. The packaging card comprises a main panel, a bottom panel, a support panel and an end panel. The main panel is connected to the bottom panel by a hinged connection such as a crease line. The bottom panel and the support panel are connected by a crease line. The support panel is also connected to the end panel by a crease line. The end panel is affixed to a portion of the main panel using an adhesive, and the end panel and support panel form a buttress to support the bottom panel. The bottom panel provides a support platform for holding the spool. The crease lines between the end, support and bottom panels allow the packaging card to be folded flat, for example, for packing and shipping to the refill spool manufacturer.
