  • Patent number: 8658284
Abstract: A polysilane-polysilazane copolymer contains a polysilane unit of formula (I), and a polysilazane unit of formula (II), where each R1 and each R2 are each independently selected from H, Si, and N atoms, R3 is selected from H, Si, or C atoms, a?1, b?1, and a quantity (a+b)?2. The polysilane-polysilazane copolymer may be formulated in a composition with a solvent. The polysilane-polysilazane copolymer may be used in PMD and STI applications for trench filling, where the trenches have widths of 100 nm or less and aspect ratios of at least (6). The polysilane-polysilazane copolymer can be prepared by amination of a perchloro polysilane having (2) or more silicon atoms per molecule with a primary amine.

  • Patent number: 8658259
Abstract: A hybrid deposition process of CVD and ALD, called NanoLayer Deposition (NLD) is provided. The nanolayer deposition process is a cyclic sequential deposition process, comprising the first step of introducing a first plurality of precursors to deposit a thin film with the deposition process not self-limiting, then a second step of purging the first set of precursors and a third step of introducing a second plurality of precursors to modify the deposited thin film. The deposition step in the NLD process using the first set of precursors is not self limiting and is a function of substrate temperature and process time. The second set of precursors modifies the already deposited film characteristics. The second set of precursors can treat the deposited film such as a modification of film composition, a doping or a removal of impurities from the deposited film. The second set of precursors can also deposit another layer on the deposited film.

  • Patent number: 8657679
Abstract: The present invention provides a gaming machine that can play both Class II and Class III games. Some implementations provide a gaming machine that has certain features (e.g., a true random number generator or “RNG”) enabled for Class III play and disabled for Class II play. Some aspects of the invention provide methods for determining when a Class III game is available. Other aspects of the invention allow a player to “line up” for a desired Class III game while playing another game, such as a Class II game or another Class III game, on the same gaming machine until the desired Class III game is available. Some such implementations grant higher priority to certain players according to their gaming history, e.g., as indicated by player tracking/player loyalty data. Alternative aspects of the invention allocate available Class III games in other ways, e.g., by playing a Class II game for a chance to play a Class III game, by lottery, or otherwise.

  • Patent number: 8659972
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems and methods for adaptively boosting the supply voltage to an SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) in response to process-voltage-temperature variations when needed. Embodiments include a critical path that simulates a typical memory cell and read-out circuit in the SRAM. Applying a trigger signal to a word-line input port of the critical path, and comparing the output of the critical path to a reference-latch signal, provides an indication of when to boost the supply voltage to the read-out circuits of the SRAM.

  • Publication number: 20140048262
Abstract: Methods for placing proppant aggregates using a diverting fluid comprising a diverting agent and a packing fluid. Proppant aggregates are introduced into a fracture that is fluidically connected to a wellbore through a plurality of perforations. Thereafter, a diverting diverting fluid is introduced into the wellbore to seal some perforations and leave at least one unsealed perforation. Once some perforations are sealed, a packing fluid is introduced into the fracture through the at least one unsealed perforation, thereby forming the proppant aggregates to move together and form a proppant bed within the fracture.
