Abstract: Methods and devices provide physiological movement detection with active sound generation. In some versions, a processor may detect breathing and/or gross body motion. The processor may control producing, via a speaker coupled to the processor, a sound signal in a user's vicinity. The processor may control sensing, via a microphone coupled to the processor, a reflected sound signal. This reflected sound signal is a reflection of the sound signal from the user. The processor may process the reflected sound, such as by a demodulation technique. The processor may detect breathing from the processed reflected sound signal. The sound signal may be produced as a series of tone pairs in a frame of slots or as a phase-continuous repeated waveform having changing frequencies (e.g., triangular or ramp sawtooth). Evaluation of detected movement information may determine sleep states or scoring, fatigue indications, subject recognition, chronic disease monitoring/prediction, and other output parameters.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods of treating or ameliorating a pediatric cholestatic liver disease by non-systemically administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a pediatric formulation comprising an Apical Sodium-dependent Bile Acid Transporter Inhibitor (ASBTI) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also provided are methods for treating or ameliorating a pediatric liver disease, decreasing the levels of serum bile acids or hepatic bile acids, treating or ameliorating pruritis, reducing liver enzymes, or reducing bilirubin comprising non-systemically administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a pediatric formulation comprising an ASBTI or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing selectable service offerings to mobile users via mobile terminals over a satellite communication system. In embodiments, a database of access profiles for accessing a network via the wireless communication system may be maintained, wherein each access profile corresponds to a service offering of a plurality of service offerings selectable via the plurality of devices and is associated with a set of network destinations within the network. In embodiments, a request is received from a device of the plurality of devices for a particular service offering of the plurality of service offerings. An access profile may be identified from the database that is associated with the particular service offering. Communications may be permitted between the device and the respective set of network destinations associated with the identified access profile.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for providing in-flight communication sessions. In some examples, a communication session delivery system may provide network access service or other types of content once a passenger has completed a brand interaction. The brand interaction may be any number of options that a brand partner may require in exchange for access to content. The communication session delivery system may choose from a plurality of reward offers and then display the chosen offers to a passenger. The chosen offers may be selected based on profile information of a passenger and characteristics targeted by a brand partner. The passenger may then choose an offer and perform the required brand interaction. Once the brand interaction has been verified, the passenger may receive the reward associated with the offer.

Abstract: A communication service monitoring system includes one or more network communication devices and control circuitry configured to receive communication service data from one or more network communication devices. The communication service data is related to a communication service provided onboard a first vehicle. The control circuitry is further configured to, in response to receiving the communication service data, proactively detect, based at least in part on the communication service data, a performance issue related to the communication service, generate a message comprising a description of the performance issue, establish a network connection with each of one or more service access devices onboard the first vehicle using at least one of the one or more network communication devices, and transmit the message, via the network connection, to at least one of the one or more service access devices.

Abstract: In one aspect, there is provided a system including at least one processor, and at least one memory including program code which when executed by the at least one processor causes operations including capturing an image of at least a portion of a surface of an object; generating, from the captured image, pixel intensity data; in response to generating the pixel intensity data, determining, based on a height error model, height error data, wherein the height error data indicates an uncertainty of at least one height measurement of the object; and determining, based on the height error data, whether the object satisfies a threshold criteria for acceptance of the object. The water tank comprises a tank opening and the water tank assembly further comprises a removable tank cap that is arranged to fit over and thereby occlude the tank opening, and wherein the water pump is provided on the removable tank cap.

Abstract: Technology is described for providing electronic advertisements on an aircraft. A server onboard the aircraft may receive a notification that a public announcement is occurring on the aircraft. The server may identify an announcement tag associated with the public announcement. The server may select an electronic advertisement based in part on the announcement tag associated with the public announcement. The electronic advertisement may be selected from a data store of electronic advertisements. The server may send the electronic advertisement to a client device to be displayed via a graphical user interface on the client device after the public announcement is finished.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing selectable content offerings to mobile users via mobile terminals over a satellite system. Abstract: Technology is described for providing electronic offering items to passengers on an aircraft. In one example of the technology, destination information may be obtained from an aircraft data bus that receives aircraft flight information from a plurality of aircraft information systems located on the aircraft. The destination information may be sent to a vendor application programming interface (API) to obtain at least one electronic offering item associated with the destination information to display in an inflight entertainment system. An electronic offering item may be received via the vendor API, and the electronic offering item may be sent to a client device to be displayed via the inflight entertainment system. A graphical interface of the inflight entertainment system at the client device may enable a passenger on the aircraft to interact with the electronic offering item.

Abstract: Technology is described for providing electronic product listings for products available at a destination. In one example of the technology, destination information may be obtained from an aircraft data bus, where the destination information may be from a plurality of aircraft information systems located on the aircraft. The destination information may be sent to one or more vendor application programming interfaces (APIs) to obtain product details for at least one product that is available for purchase through an inflight entertainment system and available to be delivered to a customer at a flight destination. Product details received from a vendor API may be sent to a client device to be displayed in a graphical user interface of an inflight entertainment system, allowing a passenger on the aircraft to view the product details with a plurality of product details for a plurality of products and purchase the product through the inflight entertainment system.

Abstract: A system for inspecting height and thermal information in additive manufacturing includes at least one processor to determine material quality and formation of porosity during additive manufacturing and use one of a phase mapping sensor and a height mapping sensor to identify a plurality of problem areas and investigate the plurality of problem areas with at least one of thermal analysis, emission profile, temperature, and emissivity data.

Abstract: This invention relates to a composition for ophthalmic delivery of a therapeutic agent, the composition comprising an oil-in-water (o/w) microemulsion comprising a fatty acid, or fatty acid ester, as the oil phase; an aqueous phase; a surfactant; and a co-surfactant, and wherein the composition further comprise a suspension of therapeutic agent-loaded nanoparticles. Use of the composition for the treatment or prevention of an eye disorder, a method of treatment or prevention of an eye disorder and an eye drop dispenser are also provided.

Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein relate generally to generating and using graph models to perform entity-specific mappings to investigatory events. More specifically, data-reliability metrics are used to selectively use proxy nodes in graph-model trajectories during generation of the mappings.
