Particular video data captured at the first endpoint is displayed at the second endpoint prior to the second endpoint joining the video communication session. In certain embodiments, the particular video data captured at the first endpoint can be displayed at the second endpoint without the user of the first endpoint being made aware that the particular video data was displayed at the second endpoint.
