  • Publication number: 20250084489
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for generating a biomarker signature for a subject with cancer. The method comprises calculating an intra-tumour heterogeneity measure and an inter-tumour heterogeneity measure for a plurality of genes. This is done using training data from a plurality of subjects who have had cancer, where the training data comprises gene expression data for a plurality of genes for each subject. A biomarker signature is generated by applying a heterogeneity filter to select genes having both an intra-tumour heterogeneity below an intra-tumour heterogeneity threshold and an inter-tumour heterogeneity above an inter-tumour heterogeneity threshold.

  • Publication number: 20250086158
Abstract: A database management engine provides a user interface that allows users to access and modify employee information in a database. The database includes entries for employees, and each database entry includes identifying information about the associated employee. A user can request to modify data within database entries, for instance in order to update information associated with an employee. Responsive to the request, the database management engine identifies liabilities associated with the database modification stemming from associated tax laws. Based on the identified tax liabilities, the engine computes the aggregate tax liability owed by the employer and/or employee. Before modifying a database entry, the engine modifies the user interface to include interface elements detailing the computed aggregate tax liability. The user explicitly can be required to confirm the database modification in view of the aggregate tax liability.

  • Publication number: 20250075775
Abstract: Systems and methods for converting ordinary circular rotary motion into any non-circular motion that can be defined as a non-overlapping proper function in polar coordinates are provided. Embodiments disclosed teach how to make and use devices that can use the rotary output from motors, turbines and other sources of circular rotary motion to create motion that follows square, rectangular, triangular, or other useful paths. Such devices can be usefully employed as a replacement for conventional devices in applications where the desired path or area of coverage is not circular, including air-moving (fans), air-energy capture (turbines), surface finishing (sanding, polishing, cleaning), among many others.

  • Publication number: 20250068952
Abstract: A quantum computing system includes a cryogenic chamber and an integrated circuit located in the chamber. The integrated circuit includes a substrate, a qubit formed on the substrate, and a dissipative element that is formed on the substrate and coupled to the qubit. When the qubit is tuned to a first flux value, the integrated circuit is enabled to perform quantum-computation operations on a set of quantum states of the qubit. The quantum states include a ground state and an excited state. When the qubit is tuned to a second flux value, the qubit is enabled to transfer energy associated with the excited state from the qubit to the dissipative element. Upon the energy transfer, the qubit is transitioned to the ground state. The dissipative element is enabled to dissipate the transferred energy to a portion of the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20250053898
Abstract: An online concierge system receives information describing the progress of a picker servicing a batch of existing orders and predicts a first likelihood the picker will finish servicing the batch within a threshold amount of time based on the picker's progress and information describing the batch. If the first likelihood exceeds a threshold likelihood, the system accesses a machine learning model trained to predict a second likelihood the picker will accept a batch of new orders for servicing while servicing the batch of existing orders. The system applies the model to inputs including a set of attributes of the picker and the picker's progress to predict the second likelihood. The system matches batches of new orders with pickers based on the second likelihood and sends one or more requests to service one or more batches matched with the picker to a client device associated with the picker.

  • Patent number: 12210815
Abstract: Information identifying a message scanning system is encoded into URLs. A document management system can decode the identifying information to verify that a document accessed via a URL was accessed by a trusted entity rather than by an unknown user. The document management system sends a message including a URL to access a document. When a message scanning system known to the document management system reviews the message for threats, it encodes its identity into a modified form of the URL in the message and uses the modified URL to access the resource. The document management system can decode the identity of the messaging system using a decoding key. Based on the identification, the document management system updates records associated with the document to include the document acce by the message scanning system.

  • Publication number: 20250029053
Abstract: An online concierge system receives information describing the progress of a picker servicing a batch of existing orders and a service request for an order. The system identifies picker attributes of the picker and order attributes of the order and each existing order of the set and accesses a machine learning model trained to predict a likelihood the picker will accept an add-on request to add the order to the batch of existing orders. To predict the likelihood, the system applies the model to the picker attributes, the progress of the picker, and the order attributes. The system determines a cost associated with sending the add-on request to the picker based on the likelihood and assigns the order to a set of orders based on the cost. The system sends the add-on request to the picker responsive to determining the order is assigned to the batch of existing orders.

  • Publication number: 20250018602
Abstract: Systems and methods for increasing fluidity of a shear-thinning material during transit using an energizer which is coupled to a conveyance and configured to impart energy to the shear-thinning material as it is transported by the conveyance, thereby increasing the fluidity of the Material source Conveyor Form material. The conveyance may comprise any of a wide variety of transport means, including pumps, hoses or other conduits, conveyor belts, bins or buckets, chutes, hoppers, or the like. The energizer may use elements that generate mechanical vibrations, electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves, or the like to transfer energy to the shear-thinning material. The energy-imparting elements may be at a localized portion of the conveyance, or at multiple locations along a transport path of the conveyance, and may be controlled by a controller based on such parameters as sensed characteristics of the shear-thinning material or environmental conditions.
