  • Patent number: 10834167
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system includes a proxy and an application server. The proxy is operable to intercept a request to download application content from an application server, insert an address of a navigation service into the request to yield an augmented request, and transmit the augmented request to the application server. The application server is operable to receive the augmented request, generate an application in response to the augmented request, the application comprising the application content, a navigation placeholder, and code to access the navigation service at the address, the navigation placeholder representing a portion of the application where the navigation service may be inserted, and transmit the application for receipt by the client.

  • Patent number: 10779616
Abstract: Methods for manufacturing uppers for articles footwear that include thermo-forming an upper composed of one or more low melting point thermoplastic polymers. The methods may include disposing a skin for forming an upper over and inflatable bladder. The skin may include at least one of a base layer composed of a low melting point thermoplastic polymer and a grid layer including a yarn composed of a low melting point thermoplastic polymer. The skin and inflatable bladder may be placed into a mold cavity and the mold may be heated to a predetermined temperature. The inflatable bladder may be inflated such that the skin is pressed against an interior surface of the heated mold cavity to cause the skin to take on the shape of the internal surface of the mold cavity, thereby forming an upper for an article of footwear.

  • Patent number: 10708210
Abstract: A server maintains a multi-user gallery of ephemeral messages. Ephemeral messages are posted to the gallery by multiple different users for online viewing via a single, common gallery. In response to a gallery view request from any recipient device, the ephemeral messages in the multi-user are displayed on the requesting device in automated sequence, each message being displayed for a respective display duration before display of the next message in the gallery. Each ephemeral message is removed from the gallery, thus being unavailable, for viewing upon request, at expiry of a respective corresponding message availability parameter. An account administration interface is provided to enable multiple users to post to the multi-user gallery as a single organizational or celebrity account.

  • Patent number: 10687840
Abstract: Some implementations provide a high-powered compact ultrasonic transducer having an integral piezoelectric ceramic force sensing element utilized to enable enhanced tissue selectivity with a piezoelectric based transducer. Some implementations additionally or alternatively relate to methods and apparatus for driving ultrasonic surgical devices, such as methods and apparatus that modulate an amplitude of a drive signal, provided to an ultrasonic surgical device, in accordance with a selected tissue selectivity level. For example, the amplitude of the drive signal for a given tissue selectivity level can be varied with time in accordance with amplitude modification parameters that are particularized to the given tissue selectivity level. Some of those implementations additionally implement a corresponding duty cycle, for the drive signal, that corresponds to the selected tissue selectivity level.

  • Publication number: 20200148369
Abstract: Briefly, the disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods to enclose electrical contacts for de-icing equipment utilized on fixed-wing aircraft and rotary-wing aircraft, such as helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft. In some implementations, enclosing electrical contacts for a de-ice heater blanket may ensure that high-quality electrical connections are made between conductors of one or more de-icing cables and the electrical contacts of the de-ice heater blanket. Such high-quality electrical connections may be maintained even during aircraft operations conducted in below-freezing ambient environments, rainy and/or wet environments, dusty desert environments, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20190322283
Abstract: One way to improve fuel efficiency of a vehicle is to detect the vehicle operational shortcomings related to fuel consumption by determining whether fuel used during operation of the vehicle is normal fuel use or wasted fuel use. Considerations of idling, speeding and inappropriate gear shifts are some ways to measure the amount of fuel wasted due to operator shortcomings. Communicating this information to the operator in real-time so adjustments can be made will improve vehicle fuel efficiency. These techniques are applicable to tracking employment of other driving best practices as well.
