  • Patent number: 11912477
Abstract: A container having a base and a lid is provided. The lid may be rotatable about a hinge from a closed configuration to an open configuration and may be secured, via one or more latching assemblies. The latch assembly may comprise a latch body, a locking member, a biasing member, and an activating member. The lid may have a handle that has a stowed and a carry position, where the handle may be maintained in the stowed position until acted upon by a first force greater than a threshold force to move the handle from the stowed position to the carry position. Similarly, when in the carry position, the handle may be maintained in the carry position until acted upon by a second force greater than the threshold force to move the handle from the carry position to the stowed position.

  • Publication number: 20240061968
Abstract: A method and system provide the ability to design a terrain surface. A triangular surface mesh in three-dimensions representative of an existing surface is obtained. One or more constraints to control the triangular surface mesh are specified. The specifying includes defining multiple basic grading element constraints that are constraints on surface points of the existing surface, and combining such constraints into a complex grading element constraint that matches a real world grading behavior. Drainage for the triangular surface mesh is automatically determined based on the complex grading element constraint.

  • Patent number: 11910456
Abstract: A communication system and method for supporting a plurality of vehicle-to-everything radio access technologies (V2X RATs) is provided. The communication system configured to support multiple V2X RATs transmits, using a first V2X RAT, an indication of its availability to support an interworking function between the plurality of V2X RATs. The communication system receives an instruction to provide the interworking function between different V2X RATs. The interworking function may be incorporated in a vehicle that is joined to a platoon configured to use a first V2X RAT, and provide the interworking function between the first and a second V2X RAT. The interworking function may be used to add further vehicles to the platoon that communicate using only the second V2X RAT.

  • Patent number: 11873115
Abstract: Methods of determining a final space reservation for a new aircraft are disclosed. The methods include using parametric definitions of potential payloads to generate a population of representative payloads for use in creating an initial space reservation. The methods include accounting for and applying a variety of margins on each potential payload and taking the union of potential payloads. Alternatively, the union can be taken first and then the margins applied. A homogenous space reservation can be determined based upon a variety of differently shaped or sized payloads, including a margin build-up to mitigate risk of unknowns associated with future changes in specific payload shapes and sizes, build tolerances, environmental conditions, and/or loading and unloading motions and clearances. Once this space reservation is known, it is possible to design an external shape of a carrying vehicle by staying outside of this space reservation.
