  • Publication number: 20220279222
Abstract: A video community system that provides conversation videos to a member who is one of a plurality of community members. The system can include a conversation video storage medium that stores conversation videos that are each associated with one of a plurality of thematic content events; and a member interface that couples the video community system to a plurality of user devices. The member interface receives a user request from the requesting community member for a conversation video that is associated with a particular thematic content event. In response, the video community system accesses the conversation video from the conversation video storage medium that is associated with the particular thematic content event identified in the user request. The video community system communicates the accessed conversation video and at least a portion of the particular thematic content event to the requesting community member's device for concurrent display.

  • Publication number: 20210216581
Abstract: A computing device is programmed to receive data collected from communications of a user. The computer identifies portions of the collected data including a keyword selected from a list of media content elements or lists of keywords associated with each of the media content elements. The computer associates each portion with a media content element. The computer further determines a score for each media content element based on at least one of the number of references, words included in the portion of collected referring to the media content element, and the voice quality of the portion of collected data referring to the media content element. Based on the scores, the computer assigns media content elements to the user. The computer recommends media content items to the user based at least in part on the media content elements assigned to the user.

  • Publication number: 20210081994
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for intelligent ad-based routing. In example aspects, a destination input, desired time for arrival, and user profile data is received in a ride-sharing application. The input data is classified by applying one or more machine-learning models to the data. Based on the classified data results, candidate physical advertisement locations may be selected along a certain route. Different types of routes may be selected that range from the shortest possible route (i.e., a direct route) to a major detour (i.e., the most cost-effective route). A major detour takes the user on a route that exposes the user to as many advertisements as possible while still arriving at the final destination before the desired time of arrival. In exchange for a longer route and more exposure to physical advertisements, the cost of the ride may be offset.

  • Publication number: 20210081014
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for automated battery replacement. In example aspects, a notification is transmitted to a central hub from an IoT device, alerting the central hub of battery status information. Based on the battery status information, a robot may be deployed from the hub to replace the battery or batteries on the IoT device. The robot may be land-based, air-based, or sea-based, among other configurations and combinations. The robot may engage the IoT device by connecting an external power source, which triggers an authentication procedure to verify the authenticity of the IoT device and the robot. Upon successful authentication, the main battery compartment hatch may be opened. In some example aspects, the main battery compartment hatch is controlled using magnets (e.g. electromagnets). A successful authentication process may result in a change of magnetic force, which may cause the battery compartment hatch to open.
