Abstract: A multilayer structure including a first layer; a sealant layer formed from one or more ethylene-based polymers; and a cohesive failure layer adjacent to the sealant layer and formed from a polymer blend which comprises an elastomeric propylene based polymer and a second polymer, wherein the second polymer is selected from the group consisting of high pressure low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, ethylene acrylic acid copolymers, ethylene(meth)acrylic acid copolymers and combinations thereof is provided.

Abstract: A multilayer metallized cast film which includes a first layer which comprises an ethylene-based polymer having a density greater than 0.94 g/cc and a melt index less than or equal to 1.3 g/10 min; and a second layer having an interior surface and an exterior surface and which comprises an ethylene-based polymer having a density greater than 0.94 g/cc and a melt index greater than or equal to 2.0 g/10 min, wherein the exterior surface of the second layer faces away from the first layer, wherein the second layer further comprises a metal and/or metal oxide layer deposited on the exterior surface is provided. Also provided is a packaging comprising the multilayer metallized cast film.
