  • Publication number: 20250098665
Abstract: Maize pollen is notoriously fragile and susceptible to degradation unless adequately stored. Unlike some tree pollen, which can be quite hardy and capable of successful fertilization for months or years after it is shed, maize pollen remains viable for mere hours after shedding before it begins to degrade. Described here is an invention for storing maize pollen where the pollen is collected and stored in a refrigerated, but not frozen, environment with a breathable barrier. Pollen stored as described herein may remain viable for up to twelve days, or two weeks, or longer. Adding a carrier compound can extend viability of the pollen.

  • Publication number: 20250094804
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing an authenticated model customization for a machine-learning model. A cloud service provider platform accesses a message including, at least, timestamp data and user identification data. A training group of data entities is identified based on the data in the message. A training dataset is determined based on the training group of data entities. A machine-learning model is modified based on the training dataset. The modified machine-learning model is provided during an authenticated network session associated with the user identification data. In some embodiments, the modification of the machine-learning model is removed based on a determination that the authenticated network session had ended.

  • Patent number: 12135894
Abstract: Content is captured and archived at an archive center (AC) and, depending upon records management (RM) policy, is managed by the AC or under RM control by a content server (CS). Both the AC and CS may be part of an enterprise content management system. The AC provides a user-friendly interface through which retention zones may be defined, and functionality for applying RM policy. The functionality can be triggered via a specific content property or through a retention zone under RM control. The RM control can be turned on or off from within the AC using the user-friendly interface. Archived content is not moved or duplicated. Rather, metadata and a link to the storage location are sent to the CS which, in turn, creates a content server document that is linked to the archived content. Only a portion of archived content is exposed to the CS through the AC.

  • Patent number: 9068930
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an analysis device for use with an external testing apparatus to detect the presence of an analyte in a test sample. The device comprises a transducer formed of a layer of pyroelectric or piezoelectric material sandwiched between first and second electrode layers, the transducer being arranged to produce an electrical voltage across the electrode layers in response to heating or straining of the pyroelectric or piezoelectric material layer. The device also comprises first and second stiffening elements for the transducer, the transducer being sandwiched between the stiffening elements. Each of the stiffening elements defines a planar surface for maintaining the transducer in a flat condition. Each of the stiffening elements exposes a portion of a respective electrode layer of the transducer for electrically connecting the transducer to the external text apparatus.
