  • Publication number: 20240098395
Abstract: Improvements in an adjustable sound bar end cap to allow for the end caps to be outwardly adjustable relative to the frame. The end caps translate from the frame to provide movement of the end caps to match exact variations due to differences in finishes widths per different brands. Springs push the end caps from the frame to maintain a constant pressure between the frame and the end cap(s). This configuration gives 0 to 1 inch of movement per side. The fastener compresses the spring to remain in compression. Multiple fasteners allow for even compression and perpendicular fit of the end cap relative to the frame. A cover plate that covers the adjustment mechanism and adjustment screws. The cover is made from a ferrous material that is attracted to a magnet within the frame to allow for secure holding of the cover plate and easy removal.

  • Patent number: 10406674
Abstract: Improvements in a reusable locating bracket for a recessed speaker or light bracket is disclosed. The bracket matches the hole diameter for a speaker of light. The bracket is installed prior to installation of drywall and is used as a trim guide. After installation of the drywall and cutting or trimming of the opening, the bracket is folded, bent, rotated or articulated where it can be removable through the trimmed opening in the drywall or sheet rock. The bracket has folding hinges for retaining side supports. The side supports are typically strips of cardboard, chip board or other material that provides a span from the bracket to studs, joists or beams. The folding hinges have teeth that grip the cardboard and can be opened to pull the cardboard through the retainer.
